Wonderful staff - very friendly and energetic. Great location - across the road from the tram stops & museums (Van Gogh museum & Rijksmuseum). A family-friendly area & accommodation, it felt very safe. We encountered some rain during our stay and this hotel was very comfortable to relax in. Very close to a supermarket and a microwave accessible on the first floor. Some good movie nights I won't forget. The artistic touches of Van Gogh in each room was lovely - was very happy to have a sunflower room under the gable - felt like an authentic Dutch experience!

Amsterdam is expensive! This accommodation was great, but on the whole, even 3-star hotels are very pricey. The elevator also broke once and we had to walk to the top floor to our room.

The hotel is located in a quieter, residential neighbourhood with restauraunts and grocery stores. The room is spacious, equipped with a microwave, tea kettle, pans, utensils, and a fridge for storing medicine and provisions. There's a nearby bus stop with routes that will take you to Amsterdam Centraal. The staff also left a kind birthday note with a voucher for complimentary drinks! Such a thoughtful and personal touch that made the stay feel more like being at home.

It was clean, well organized and friendly staff, good sized room and a comfortable bed. All that for a great price. But I heard later that the price can vary a lot. So I guess I booked it at the right moment.

The shower should have an extra door/screen to protect the floor outside the shower getting wet.

The price was reasonable, breakfast was adequate with coffee, toast, cereal, fruit and cheese etc. The staff were friendly. The bathroom looked recently renovated.

If you're a light sleeper (the walls are thin!), have vertigo (the stairs are steep), need a clean pillow that doesn't smell (my pillow was very yellow under the pillow case) or need a spotless room to relax this probably isn't the property for you. Otherwise if you just need a place at night to crash and you can look past those things this place is fine.

So expensive for a property that needed a good clean, had limited facilities - no water in room, no extra blankets, staff on screen not in person. We told them it was 20th anniversary. They acknowledged and did nothing at all. If it had been 100 euros great, for 250 was sub standard
