Some of the rooms had a splendid view through large windows over a tranquil tree-lined canal. The location was superb for access to museums, shopping, public transportation. Owner Natalie was very friendly and accommodating.

No AC. No elevator. No washcloths. No body lotion, Q-tips, cotton balls. No USB ports in room. No closet – – just hooks and a few hangers. No breakfast included. ($20 paid breakfast—No meat included—just pancakes and eggs and cereal). No phone intercom to connect to the front desk. Despite friendly owner, that’s a lot of “No’s” for what amounted to 500 bucks for two nights. So, not a good value if room comfort is important, as the room itself was exceedingly small, and the toilet was actually inside the shower.

The bike rentals, luggage holding, and yummy cafe!! It was an amazing, safe, clean spot with lots of amenities and activities just within the volkshotel (sauna, games, cafe, restaurant…)

The hotel is even nicer than the pictures uploaded on Booking.com. The room is very clean with convenient stuffs (like iron, kettle). The location is perfect, 3 mins walking to tram 8.

Great location, very spacious rooms. Indoor storage for my bicycle. Really close to a shop and restaurant. Would highly recommend for someone doing a trip by bike or on foot.

We stayed in a s small room with tiny window on ground floor in the backyard but were glad to have gotten it as last resort. No breakfast service. All in all not worth the hefty price tag.

The room was extremely humid. No air conditioner. The double bed is very small for two people (140 cm wide?). No drawer. No refrigerator.
