The staff are so kind and helpful! The hotel has a great energy about it- and it’s in an ideal location if you want to be in the city but also be a bit outside the hustle and bustle by enjoying a great view from the other side of the river. Just fabulous. It will be our hotel of choice for all our future stays in Amsterdam! And they have a denim bathrobe that has a big wide collar- what a great idea.

Room was cleanly and had all the amenities, the location was within walking distance of the Van Gogh/Rijk Museum, a good center point of the city. We didn't eat breakfast but it was offered. The water was hot enough for my girlfriend and I and everything worked.

The curtains for the shower kept encroaching upon our bodies as we tried to shower. There weren't any barriers or inclines to keep the water from spreading to the rest of the bathroom.

The location was great. The metro station was a short walking distance and you were able to get downtown Amsterdam in about 20-25 minutes. Breakfast was good. It was raining but enjoyed having drinks at the bar.

We enjoyed the style of the hotel and found the room comfortable. Was easy enough to get into central Amsterdam by using the bus stop 10 mins from the hotel to the airport and getting the train from there.

Everything was really very nice. The location was very private and beautiful on two canals and yet close to the center. The staff, room, and breakfast were wonderful. I really am glad we stayed here!

I had some very annoying issues at check-in, BUT honestly after that this is quiet a nice hostel. It is clean, and just all around well run. Location is idea.

At check-in the tried to gaslight me into moving rooms mid- stay. I wish there was more living space for the hostelers but it is just the bar downstairs. Also I wish there was an easier way to get water. They told me to use the bathroom sink, but the sink was so shallow, I could not fit my water-bottle.

Location was great. Breakfast was very good and well stocked. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly.

No USB ports in the room. We have 2 sets of hearing aids plus phones. Even my hair curler uses a USB. I Have not been in a hotel in years where I couldn’t charge my devises in the room. I would also have liked a receipt at the end of my stay.

Steep, narrow stairways that were awkward to carry luggage up/down. Having facilities to offer breakfast would have been nice as there were not many ‘breakfast places’ in short walking distance.
