The room got very hot in the night, but they provided a fan to help manage the temperature.

Wonderful staff, helpful especially with the steep flight of stairs with luggage to the rooms at check-in and check-out. Very good recommendations for meals. Bathroom was clean and comfortable,

Very kind staff who were very helpful! Perfect location - cool neighborhood that wasn’t touristy - lots of fun shops in walking distance and very public transit accessible. Really nice room and great view from the window facing the street!

Bathroom small but shower OK. Stairs not as bad as everyone made them out to be- my 82 yo mom could do the 3 flights with a little fatigue by the end.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Morning coffee and nightly chocolates a nice touch! Very clean. Beds comfortable. Well located near trams, grocery stores and restaurants as well as walking distance to downtown.

    No complains.

The staff was helpful, the rooms were comfortable. Everything what is needed for a short stay. Also there were more toiletries than usually in European hotels. The tram stops are also next to the hotel and it’s super convenient (one in front of hotel, other few meters away). Soundproofing was good, no street noise.

Not much not to like tbh. Just would probably stay more central next time, but that's no fault of the hotel. Enjoyed our stay👍

Great little balcony, nice & clean with a great shower👍

We weren't fan of the stairs, but we understand -- it's Amsterdam!

We signed up for the more expensive room because we like having a refrigerator and a kettle in the room, and the small couch was a bonus (if you don't pay extra, no kettle or fridge). Sound from the street was muted by very solid, double-pane windows. The location was good, a little further from museums than some might like, but the tram is right in front of hotel.

The welcome was great! A very big thank you to the evening receptionist (I think his name is Harmed) who gave us lots of advice and was wonderful. The hotel's location is perfect.

The receptionist Hakan stayed way past 12 midnight as I found myself lost in Amsterdan. He gave me directions which I finally landed there. He was very courteous and made me coffee and showed me to my room. In the room they had apples which to be honest were the most delicious I have and they gave other snacks. It was a comfortable sleep and an amazing service, I would come here again.

The bed kept splitting in the middle due to it being 2 singles so we woke up in some dodgy positions only thing I could say wasn't the best but we knew it was the case so more of a learning curve rather than something was wrong

Staff were helpful and the room was adequate. Got good use out of the jacuzzi bath it was nice also the balcony topped it all off..... the end of a long day walking about dam you can grab a wee hot chocolate on the way up to your room

Since the hotel is on a busy street with the tram, it was a bit loud. However my sister wasn’t bothered by the street noise at all and I slept like a baby once I put earplugs in.

Staff was super friendly and helpful! The hotel is very continently located next to 2 tram stations to easily get around the city. The room was very clean and had everything we needed and more for our stay in Amsterdam!

The stairs take a little getting used to as they are incredibly steep and there is no elevator, but they definitely gave us a workout while on vacation!

The staff at the hotel, especially Tahir were exceptional. He was happy to answer any question we had regarding Amsterdam as it was our first time visiting and was very informative on things to do/skip while there. He was incredibly kind and always accommodating with anything we needed. The jacuzzi tub was amazing and a great way to relax after being in the rain/cold. The location of the hotel was great. A quick train ride to all major points of interest.

Believe me when I say that this is the best hotel in town. It was not my first time in Amsterdam, I love the city and I used to change the accommodation every time but now that I know the Alp Hotel I will always come back there for sure. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, positive and their service was absolutely on point, from the reservation to the check out; They gave me a city map with some of their personal advices written on and they explained to me a lot of tips! The first day the staff offered us a "welcome drink" and they also told us that all the hot drinks were free at any time of the day and the night (I absolutely loved that). The room was tiny (and this is not negative 'cause I knew it when I made the reservation) but it was incredibly cozy and super clean; We also find a fruit, a sweet and a bottle of water for each guest (thanks a lot, this is so lovely) The beds were comfy and warm just like the temperature in the room; The bathroom, fully renovated was just incredible, the shower was perfect and the water gets hot in a few seconds. The bathroom also came with all kinds of gadgets like dental kit, shaving kit, sewing kit etc etc. A golden star to the balcony, it was tiny but the view was stunning for an Amsterdam lover. Plus: the stairs are a little bit better than the average stairs of the buildings in the city center! Thanks a lot Alp Hotel, you made me feel at home. See you soon! Martina

Not used to steep steps but that’s cool we coped with them.

People behind the desk are friendly and very helpful. It’s close enough to the centre and if you don’t like walking there is a tram stop out the front. Balcony is great bonus. The shower is awesome.

Top floor meant meant a lot of narrow stairs, but all old Dutch buildings are like this. Good exercise! Would be good to have kettle in room, but free coffee/tea downstairs in reception. Just a lot of stairs to get it. Would be nice to have option for a double bed. Some road noise from trams in our room at the front of hotel, but fine with the window closed. Handy to have those trams to get about.

Great location. Tram 13 stops outside to go into the central station. Tram 3 round the corner to go to museum quarter. Trams super cheap and just use contactless to check in and out as you get on and off. Close to picturesque Jordaan district. Lovely to walk around. Good shops, restaurants and pubs. Very comfortable beds. Two singles pushed together. Lovely shower.. Staff super helpful. Couple of good cafes for breakfast round the corner, we went to Monks, but several other options within 5 mins, or super cheap coffee and croissants from Albert Heijn supermarket across the road. Close to very highly rated Moeders traditional Dutch restaurant but you have to book 4+ weeks in advance.
