Nice room with bright-pastel colours, quirky fun decor and accessories. We really loved the electric kettle! Spacious and comfortable room. Excellent coffee in the room - real ground coffee to drip into cup, rather than instant. This was really great every morning! All staff was very nice and helpful - even small things like offered glasses with ice when we bought some fizzy water. We would not really have thought to ask. No problems with the bathroom or shower. Very clean. Shower is typical italian type, with a small ledge. We had zero flooding. We stayed on the top floor, with a very large terrace with chairs & table, and a lovely city view. The hotel is on the western end of Vondelpark. Good location to walk through and enjoy the park everyday, close to museum square, close to the old west for restaurants. Further from city centre generally - so it's a good walk if that's your target.

Would recommend: - to add milk/creamer in the rooms to complement the coffee. We didn't mind, as we just bought it from AH. - there is no fridge in the room. Would be a great addition to the rooms to keep fruit, perishables etc. Bed and pillows were a bit too soft for us. But this is a personal preference as we like quite firmer mattress and pillows. Showers have slightly lower pressure than typical for northern europe. But nothing to complain about really. Explained clearly as a water-conserving initiative.

Staff were friendly, helpful, efficient and professional. Multilingual seemed to be the norm. Gave us a map that was invaluable for exploring the city on foot along with great advice for finding a place to eat or good areas to explore.

The host was very nice and accommodating to our requests. He provided us with many historical facts about our location and Holland. He even provided my wife with items to cook white asparagus which was a great treat for us.

A great location within the city center, at a walking distance from Centraal Station, Binenhof and the Plein. The staff is lovely and helpful. The breakfast experience was great as well!

Amazing location, walking distance from most tourist attractions and public transportation, and right on the canal. My room was very comfortable and the staff was fantastic.

The elevator was tiny and very slow and the stairs were steep. Not a problem for me overall but it’s not a super accessible hotel and probably wouldn’t be fun if you have a lot of luggage.

Our bed was two single bed, loosly attached to make a big bed for two, but they were easily moving and detached. linens weren't completely clean. We asked for slippers for room and adapter for charging our phones, they had none of them, ...
