Overall OK but very tired decor with dusty curtains. I don't think the room photos are of the Guest house part? The breakfast choice is just about adequate with basic options. Definitely a 2 star place which isn't a bad thing overall. The Hotel part may have better rooms?

Room number 1 was incredibly warm, radiator turned off with no other visible heat source that could be turned off.

I didn't rate the staff , because I never saw a soul . Which was wonderful .. it was so quiet and peaceful, only the birds !! The lodge was spotless and had everything I needed . The scent of the bedding was so nice . The bed comfortable too. Couldn't fault a thing x

Only thing and it's not that I didn't like .. I couldn't work the hot tub . It said press one for massage things . But it just squirted everywhere I got drenched , the windows soaked !! I have never used one before .. but I thought maybe not enough water in ?? A man did come , but not sure what he did ?? Anyways I sat in it and chilled xx

Lovely location , plenty to see and explore in the area .Very comfortable and well- appointed room . Delicious breakfast . Rachel and her husband very welcoming , friendly and hospitable . House has a very peaceful ambience.

Iain was a great host. He was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He answered all my questions wrt the places of interests. His breakfast was outstanding. I would highly recommend a stay with Iain.

The room is a bit too small but I guess there is nothing much Iain can do about it. Iain’s hospitality more than compensate for the small room.

Good location about 30 mins walk to city centre, staff friendly and helpful. Good comfortable bar area with views of the river.
