An excellent B&B in a beautiful location. Large spotlessly clean en-suite bedrooms and large lounges downstairs, too. Rachel was a terrific hostess and cooked an excellent, large breakfast, with lots of choices. Plenty to do in the area, so we will definitely be back.

There was nothing to dislike.

The house was stunning and set within a idyllic location. Rachel, the owner, was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, spacious, really comfortable with fantastic views of the Cheviot Hills. 5 star accommodation.

The sofa in the bedroom overlooking the garden was a lovely touch in addition to a sitting room downstairs we were able to use. Owners were warm and friendly. Would highly recommend as it is in a great location for visiting Northumberland with lovely restaurants nearby too for an evening meal.

This was the nicest most enjoyable stay i've had in a bed and breakfast, the location, the house itself with its beautiful interior, the warmth and friendliness of the host. The room was large, beautifully decorated and scrupulously clean, I had a beautiful view over the countryside overlooking a field where the Clydesdale horses graze in the evening. I was visiting the area while on a course but I would definately return to Hay Farm House for a Holiday and have reccomended it to family and friends.

We had an amazing stay at Hay Farm House. Rachel is an excellent host. The room was lovely, very comfortable, every last detail was thought of. The view from the window was stunning as were the surroundings. The area is great for walking and there are many attractions within short driving distance. The breakfast was delicious - all local produce and a wide selection of options. We are definitely coming back!

The setting was beautiful. The host is friendly and a listener. The rooms were well furnished with great attention to detail. She noticed we had taken a bottle of port and brought two port glasses for us. An exceptional farmhouse.

Exceptional bed and breakfast, Rachel is a perfect host, the room was homely, clean and attention to detail 👌. The choice of breakfast amazing , cooked to perfection , good sized portions and nothing to much trouble. The whole home is warm, homely , relaxing , the best we have ever stay in, Highley recommend and would definitely return 10/10 is not enough. I rarely leave a review but have to for Hay farm.

Fantastic location, perfect for short walks into Ford, Heatherslaw and Etal. Rachel, the hostess was extremely friendly and helpful and her full English breakfasts were tremendous! She was also very knowledgeable regarding the local area. The room was perfect and the views from our room were breathtaking.

Hay farm was excellent, Rachel our host was so friendly warm and professional, nothing was too much trouble for her , normally in other places we've stayed you have to ring the doorbell and and wait but not with Rachel, she greeted us with the door open and instantly made us feel exceptionally welcome. I would highly recommend Hay Farm , such a beautiful house and place

It’s 300 miles from where we live so weekend breaks are out for us! Northumberland is not a place to visit if you like excitement in your holiday. What you do get more than compensates, with scenery which is hard to beat (or even equal in our opinion), in the UK.

Lovely cooked breakfast with choice of local produce. Cereal if you wanted it and toast made from real bread. Room was spacious and en-suite shower room was kept warm by huge towel rail. Location was brilliant if you value grand views of the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Parking was easy and sufficient for all guests. Well signposted from main road and adjacent to historic visitor attractions. We loved it and recommend it if you want, or need, to relax.
