“Good location - 5ish min walk to the station. Two convenience stores were close by (1min to Familymart and 3min to 7/11)
Good room size - there was a little table and two chairs and if you move them to aside, there’s a space to open two big suitcases. Also enough space under the bed to keep the opened suitcases which was a bonus!”
“Very good location next to the train station. Staff was friendly and explained everything clearly. Otherwise pretty standard capsule hotel, felt rather warm and welcoming too. There's even a laundry room, although I didn't use it. And of course the price is unbeatable”

“One of my favorite stays during my trip, in most part thanks to the staff, who are super friendly and welcoming. Unlike a lot of hostels which are just places to crash after a long day, the 1166 gives you the social aspect too. I spent at least one hour in the evening chatting with the staff and other travelers, with a cup of oolong tea and some snacks. That social experience made all the difference for me, and I warmly recommend this place to anyone who would like to mingle with locals/travelers.
Also, the location is within reasonable walking distance from the train station (I did leave my big suitcase in a coin locker though), and very close to Zenkoji”
