We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast (for a small top-up). The views of the mountains were great. The house was very warm and cozy. The hosts also did a great job with serving their guests and ensuring that we were comfortable during our stay. We also really appreciate the transport service to and from Nagiso Station. The house also has an adorable cat.

Very little was a problem but I can see that only having one shower / bath might cause problems if there were more guests.

Arrived on foot after a day of walking in the rain. We were made comfortable - wet clothes hung up, hot drinks provided. A decent if simple dinner of curry (good to have the 2 size options). Lovely tatami mat bedroom, but nice to have some sofas and chairs to sit on as wimpy westerners! Lovely atmosphere inside watching the rain beating down on the countryside outside. I could have settled in for several days! We were concerned that it was a little way from Nagiso town/station, but the lift provided solved that and the glorious countryside around was super - the view from the small kitchen balcony in the morning when the sun had come out again was lovely.

Beautiful surrounds and view of the countryside, the building has loads of character and the family running the business are warm and friendly. We enjoyed the delicious dinner made with love and care, as well as the local sake tasting!

The stay was so warm and welcoming. Yoshi was a courteous and reliable driver and Erica just such a pleasure to sit and chat with in the kitchen. This was a lovely place to come home to every evening after our adventures.

The staff were so lovely and helpful, they made us feel right at home. The house is just beautiful and the view absolutely amazing. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We met and made friends with the other guests and even did some very fun sake tasting! The meals were delicious as well! One of our favourite places in Japan 🫶🏼

It is very far from the station but this is not a problem as there is a shuttle car that takes you there.

What a beautiful place! I didn't realize how amazing the mountain views would be! The staff were wonderful and even gave us a ride to and from the train station. We also had an incredible dinner and the best plum wine I've ever tasted.

Wonderful stay, located on the Nakasendo Trail. You should stay at least two nights for exploring the area and other parts of the Nakasendo trail. Rey gave is great tips what to do. Easy to go there by train, because they have got a free shuttle service. Thank you for everything!
