The hosts John M was delightful as was his wife Allison. Super gracious and very helpful even lent me their bicycle for a bicycle ride. Cosy little studio room with coffee & tea facilities. Small but Nice bathroom and shower. Instant geyser so don't expect very hot water unless at low flow rate. Very convenient and 10 mins car ride from St Andrews city center. About a 30 min walk so not that bad. And a 15 Min bicycle ride. Would definitely stay here again. again.

Nothing major. NOT John's fault but the mobile reception in the room is really bad. Outside is Ok. Plus his wifi is Ok for basic stuff but you can't work with say video calls etc. So Maybe slightly higher speed wifi would go a long way especially given mobile service is not available. All esle was spectacular

The location was good, the room smelled very nice, there was coffee and tea available and the bed was comfortable. I liked the building and the window in the room. I appreciated the fact that were two shared bathrooms for all the rooms, instead of just one. The host was available and reachable both of the times we called him.

It was very difficult to sleep at night, due to the quality of the walls. Half of the walls in the room seemed like they were made out of cardboards, and thus, we could listen to every single conversation from the other rooms. Even if you ask them to speak lower, you can still hear the conversations. Me and my partner are out exploring all day, and the most important for us is to be able to have a good, restful night of sleep, so this was a big disadvantage. Plus, the code to get our key was wrong, but since the host responded fast on this, it is not a big problem.

Staff was very nice, the view is obviously exceptional. The breakfast was great and had a lot of options. The room was lovely and the bed was nice. Just beside the train station and promenade too so very accessible.

The wifi is quite bad for the pricepoint. Also, it was a shame that there were no board games like chess, although this is very minor. The shower is very loud, we had to wear earplugs to not be deafened.

Spacious room with additional sitting room overlooking the sea. Breakfast was very good. Very comfortable bed and linen. Very friendly staff made us feel very welcome.

Walking from car park
Positive section of review
The breakfast was excellent and was more than we expected.
Negative section of review
There was no parking and therefore we incurred a cost of £40.00 at a nearby local car park for the three days stay. The bed and breakfast accommodation was good overall but the room allocated at the top of the building, (56 steps from ground floor) needed refreshing.

Close to the train station, good breakfast.

Room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned every day. It wasn’t horrendous, but I did notice areas that were missed.
