We stayed here as my daughter was running the London Marathon the position was perfect for us , tubes and shops close by and easy to get to restaurants in central Canary Wharf . Area felt safe and quiet. Apartment was as seen on the pictures on booking.com, spacious, clean and staff friendly and always a available during our stay . They accommodated us with two keys as a group of six . The lounge area meant we could all congregate eat and relax together which was perfect for my daughter to rest before and after the Marathon.

This is my go-to place when I'm working or visiting London. It's a short walk from Tooting Broadway tube station, bus routes, shops, and restaurants. The accommodation is basic but perfectly comfortable and clean. There are cooking and washing facilities, which are useful.

I love that the guesthouse maintained the original design of the house and chose room decor to match. The room was very quiet and comfortable and had an excellent corner with armchairs and a table to take tea

The location is fantastic, very central. The downstairs of the hotel is beautifully decorated with friendly staff and someone to greet you at the door on entrance. Also has a nice inhouse restaurant and bar.

We paid £275 for a Superior Double Room. When you see the beautiful reception area you have high expectations however, the hotel room was very shabby. The door was missing from the main cabinet under the TV which housed the fridge so all you could see was the silver dented insulation that should have been covered by a door, the wallpaper was peeling, the furniture was stained and old, there were coffee cup ring marks on the surfaces but worst of all, the view directly out of our window was horrendous. The outside of our bedroom wall was connected to a flat roof covered with mouldy plyboard, old plastic bags a dirty jam jar and other rubbish. This appears to be part of the hotel so I can't understand why they don't keep it clean and tidy. Its central London so you expect the rooms to be relatively small, often with a limited view due to the close proximity of other buildings, however, this was unacceptable, very unpleasant and massively disappointing. I called the manager who was nice and agreed with my issues. After a wait he moved us to another Superior Double Room that was in better condition with a more acceptable view. Considering our bad experience and the time it took out of our afternoon, it would have been a nice gesture if we had been upgraded to justify the £275, which I don't feel the 'Superior' room does. The manager said that there were no rooms of a higher standard available, this rubbed salt into my wounds because when we checked in the Receptionist said that the hotel was having a quiet week and that they weren't busy. I feel very let down by The Mandeville, I wouldn't stay again.

Breakfast wasn't possible but Alison and her family member were unbelievably kind and ran round in circles to make sure that particularly my not good mobility didn't seem to be the

Location was okay as it was next to hamden park

Flat was damp, woodlice everywhere, kitchen floor was very slopy and uneaven, lights in both kitchen and bedroom were flashing so not acceptable for people with epilepsy. Kitchen tap was very very loose and needs replacing. Being pregnant and having an uneaven floor throughout made me very dizzy and felt nauseous when walking around.
