“This was the most luxurious place we stayed in japan. The dinner and breakfast were unbelievable - the other hotels we stayed at couldn't compare with the meals here. We were one pescetarian and one vegetarian (notified the hotel in advance) and were extremely impressed by the food. Beautiful location, we stayed in the room with the balcony which was glorious. Would have loved to stay longer”
“Delightful ryokan. Staff were very kind and friendly. It has public onsen (separate for men and women) and a private family onsen. Room was comfortable and it was nice to arrive and have green tea ready in our room. Food was delicious - one of us is pescetarian and the other vegetarian (we notified Fukashiso in advance) and the dinner was extremely good. We enjoyed the sake tasting option.
There is a shuttle from the train station to the ryokan in the afternoon (I think 3:30 and 5:30) and from the ryokan to the station in the morning (9am and 10am). But you can also take the local bus (takes about 20 mins).”
“The couple running the ryokan are exceptionally nice. The rooms were clean and fresh, the bed was very traditional and very good. The bath was also extremely good and really relaxing after a long day. This was a traditional building and looked very nice, almost as if you stepped back in time!”
“The view was great. It’s fun barbecue and set up bonfire just outside the cabin. The staff were very friendly. Although some of them do not speak fluent English, they were always trying to help.”
“Was pleasantly surprised that we booked an executive room despite it only written as renovated room on high floor on the site :) executive floor came with many perks like free cream puffs, drinks at breakfast and also a chance to visit the rooftop for a better view of Mount Fuji! Love that our room had a very good view of Mount Fuji and probably the best views you can get at Kawaguchico area. We love that this hotel had a cot!!! Our son was sick that day and they allowed early”
