  • Alexandra Hotel Review score: 10

“The hotel situation is superb. Sea is just across the road. Around the corner are 2 fish and chips cafes, an Italian that does a wonderful breakfast and ice-cream. Small shops to purchase some necessities. The pier is only a 10 minute walk. Apart from the scenery, the service was unrivalled. Winston went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble. He phoned for taxis, made me milky coffee and on checkout day let me use the toilet facites and hang around in the bar area until he phoned for my final taxi to take me to the railway station, which is only 5 minutes away. Definately recommend!!”

  • The George In Rye Review score: 10

“The Hotel was a great location in a lovely old town.”

  • Forest Edge Motel Review score: 9

“There is lots to like about the lodge. It was well equipped, clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast (cereals & toast) were a particularly nice and unexpected touch, with options for the children, as well as the adults. The black out blinds and quiet location ensured a good sleep. The black out blinds being particularly useful for kids on a summer evening who won’t sleep until it’s dark! We had a warm welcome and it felt a safe place to be.”
