The location was fantastic, within walking distance of everything needed and with a beautiful beachfront just on the doorstep. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming at Alexandra Hotel, and Maria was especially kind and helpful throughout our stay.

There were a couple of negatives, we had out of date milk in the room (which is why my tea tasted off when we got there) but was changed very quickly at Reception. The shower temperature is hard to control and it takes a bit of effort to turn it off.

It was situated exactly where we wanted to be for the Motor Show on the Western Lawns. Our room had been refurbished to a high standard and we had a lovely sea view. Slightly confusing, we still can’t work out whether they serve breakfast as it doesn’t say there is a restaurant in the hotel but it says bed-and-breakfast elsewhere.

I was upgraded to a Seaview Room. The room was a good size for a Single Bed room. Everything was very clean and worked. Very warm. Attentive Staff. I would definately stay here again...

The shower pressure was quite poor, third floor if that’s still how it works. The room was a little crowded but it had a spare bed so I may have overlooked that when booking.

The bed was comfortable and the location was great. The receptionist was very friendly. Would stay again but would potentially ask to move rooms if I’d noticed the shower pressure earlier.

Had to run water for ages and ages before it got even slightly warm. Water pressure in shower also poor. When I called down to reception it was clearly not a surprise about not being able to get hot water and they just suggested I should have run the water for even longer. Unsightly pigeon muck on side window and visible on exterior of building immediately outside.

Warm welcome on arrival. Comfortable bed. Nice side view of the sea. Room and bathroom very clean, newly fitted bathroom. Generally a good and comfortable stay.

The hotel is located right in front of the beach. 12min walk from the railway station. Many cafés and restaurants around. The single room was somewhat small but had all I need and was very clean. Bed comfortable and the shower worked very well. I am so glad I booked this hotel! I got an upgrade on my room and it made my stay even better! Monica at the reception was absolutely amazing and helpful. The whole staff was. My first visit to Eastbourne was an amazing experience thanks to Alexandra hotel.

Description of the room as 'corner sea view'- was a bit of an overstatement as there was not much sea visible from the windows. The noise from the street guarantees an early wake up, but there isn't much the hotel can do about it

Great location, plenty of parking space, and the hotel offers parking permit for £2 per day. The room was clean and seemed recently refurbished. Very nice and helpful staff

Eastbourne has the largest and noisiest seagulls on the South coast. In the extreme heat it was not able to open the window.in case the seagulls came in.

room service needed more attention. Sink not cleaned on one day, toiletries not replaced (not enough for four days). As it was hot I asked that the quilt was not replaced in the cover, the bed was not touched on one day. The plug in the sink jammed on day one, it was only partially fixed and did not work properly

Not enough time for breakfast. Produce, sasuages etc could be of a higher quality.Could be a few more staff. However, that didn't spoil my stay. The attitude of the staff made up for it all
