We had an issue with our room and we were moved promptly into a better accommodated room.

Property was clean good view of the sea. We had a section for the kids which was a good touch.

Breakfast included but only continental, which they didn't mention until we checked in. Being gluten free I only had one option of cornflakes.

Staff were helpful, parking for £2, comfy bed and dog friendly,

The room was very cold. The staff did put the heating on when we asked them to, but it was off again when we were back there to sleep after 11pm. Our room was on the lowest floor of the hotel & overlooked the pavement, road & green which was fine although some privacy film on the lower half of the window would've been appreciated. Everyone can see in so we couldn't have the curtains open during the day.

Great location & value for money.

Lamp in one of the rooms did not work, window was not closing properly. two rooms were booked, one had sea view, the other, back of the building with rubbish bins to see. The lift needs updating and we needed to ask for more tea bags/milk not sufficient for 3 people.

The hotel was friendly but the state of my room was not very good. The carpet was very dirty, and the bath / shower was not hot. The breakfast provided was only a continental breakfast but not an English breakfast.

I liked the location of the hotel and the price of the room. The staff were also very friendly

Excellent service, dog was bit pricey, but overall good value. Needs net curtains for privacy. lOOk?
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Standard Double Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

Distinct Lack of net curtains on lower part of rear windows for privacy, these need fitting where I stayed - they have them on all the front windows. Also had to pay an extra £15 a night for each night for my dog, dog could only use bar, corridor and special areas. No Road/beach view area for dog owners at reception rooms. Nice menu, had Full english at Lansdowne which was formal times ( only one set for dog owners). Served by staff as single item of each listed, good quality , but no self service, real choice or quantity. The Steep steps up to front of the Lansdowne hotel need a better ramp, but the bathroom was nice but the bed very soft and bouncy. Boing, Boing, Boing..... and Staff very friendly and helpful. Room Guest book, in my room had no real pictures, photos, decent local maps. So no real useful details of local pharmacy ( only 200m) , etc, useful shops, dog friendly pubs, Town plan, Other Food outlets, theatres, and distances or map to aid plans and visits around town. Shame really.

Citrus was so good I woke up in the Lansdowne hotel next door each morning - in the Lansdowne best Western, now that is classy and very unique. Also the snooker room in the Lansdowne where I actually stayed was really a pool table room and apart from this the whole booking moving me was well handled by the Citrus, who had to move me next door. Thank you Citrus - I hope to get back to you later this year, all being well. Nicely painted fresh front exterior and discounted parking voucher scheme available at the Lansdowne, and Citrus.

There was a stain in room carpet Lift was very small No house keeping service between days which meant we had to dispose of our own rubbish to keep the room tidy On site drinks and snacks over priced. My partner is disabled and it's a bit of a walk from the train station (although the number 3 bus goes nearby)

The staff were very friendly and helpful The room was a very good size Lift although very small Traditional locks on doors for security rather than swipe access

The hotel itself was a little run-down and needs up-dating. The room was quite basic. While i would not expect fancy toiletries in a hotel in this price range, there should - at least - be some soap in the bathroom!

The staff were excellent - young but courteous and helpful and seemed to go the extra mile. The location was good - within walking distance of the seafront and a number of decent restaurants, as well as to the Congress Theatre.

The room was quite small and the bed was quite hard. The window didn't seem to close properly so could hear traffic first thing in the morning. The addition of 2 drinking glasses in the room would be useful.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a convenient position to go to the theatre. The breakfast was good with a choice of cereals, cooked food and bread and pastries.

no wine glasses at reception, no loo brush in room from beginning to end, just 1 thin blanket on 1st night. when asked for a 2nd blacket, that was better but not wide enough or long enough. Shower took a long time to give hot water. Very small bathroom. Could only open 1 window.
