It was very peaceful if you need that get away feel .

It was very peaceful if you need that get away feel . Excellent continental breakfast and the eggs were fresh from the owners chickens . Nice view into country side . Host Kim and Gary were very friendly and helpful . The only thing I would say is if you are tall be careful with your head on the side of the room as the walls slant up to the ceiling as it is a barn conversion . Just remember to duck your head 😊

Beautiful countryside, lots of interesting places to visit.Thames, and Henley are lovely towns all with great shops and restaurants. We travelled to The Frog at Skirmett for Sunday lunch ,it was superb !! Fantastic food .The reason for our trip to this area was a visit to Chiltern Valley Winery for a wine tasting experience ,this I can highly recommend ! Very informative ,lovely to see the vineyard ,and how the final product tastes! They also have a micro brewery and do the most incredible liquors . Well worth a visit .

Restaurant food really really tasty and served piping hot and in good time. Man at reception/bar so so rude, no smiles no warmth and the way he spoke to us was like we were an inconvenience. After having to be served by him twice my partner actually asked him is everything ok and is there a reason that you are speaking to us like that. Lovely room, quite old fashioned but it didnt matter as it was Immaculate.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were so impressed by everything! So easy to park. Reception staff and bar staff so helpful and friendly. The room we were in was clean, extremely well appointed and the shower was amazing-very powerful. The only slight letdown was the breakfast but I believe there was a problem with the chef in the kitchen! Despite that I’d still give it 5 stars!!

Had to stay here over Xmas because our house was full of relatives. It was lovely, room large, bed comfy, very warm. Room had a fridge. The hotel and bar is delightful, full of little rooms with colourful furniture. Drinks not overly expensive for a hotel. Cheerful bar staff.
