DoubleTree by Hilton Oxford Belfry, hotel in Thame

Located within 17 acres of countryside, DoubleTree by Hilton Oxford Belfry is 8 miles from the historic centre of Oxford. Located just off the M40, there is a spa and swimming pool for guests to use.

Well located for Thame and the M40. We were dining at Le Manoir which is only two miles away, so convenient. We received a warm welcome along with a freshly baked cookie. The hotel is modern, accessible and communal areas are nicely decorated. Lovely inner courtyards and nice bar areas. The room was a fairly good size. Good shower/toiletries/fluffy towels. The bed was comfortable. A good supply of coat hangers in the wardrobe, also good supply of coffee/tea/milk and complimentary spring water.

Location was close to where we needed to be so that was great. The property was excellent with modern fitout to a period building in a rural setting. The room was warm on a cold day and very quiet and the beds were comfortable. The host was excellent and provided us with local information.

Everything was exceptional. We stayed for our wedding night and the attention to the littlest of detail was superb. We felt very privileged to stay there. It didn't feel like a hotel it felt somebody's home. We felt very well looked after and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We will return.

Easy to find off the M40 and as traffic so heavy we arrived later than planned but the host rang to check if we wanted any food, which we did, so they kept to kitchens open for us , which was kind. Good nights sleep and a heart breakfast set us up for the day. Would stay again.

I had a lovely stay although very short as travelling and staying for work purposes. However the bath plug did not fit and kept emptying the bath. All staff were very pleasent and helpful where needed.

Great town for the day and an overnight stay, but probably lots to do if you wanted an extra night. There are a lot of excellent pubs that also serve food and some decent shops. Very attractive high street and places of interest close by. Everything within walking distance of our hotel The Spread Eagle

Thame is beautiful and historical. A variety of venues for eating to cater for all tastes and budgets. A lovely market on Tuesdays. The Midsomer guided tour took longer than advertised but was packed with information about the venues used in the series as well as local history

    Garden abd breakfast good.

Garden abd breakfast good. Previous reviews said there were problems only food outside was the local services which were good.We complained had a free sandwich meal one night as no real food available , Room was 33 degrees due to broken radiator an night manger broke it trying to turn it down We had a few reductions to our bill but need more as we had a very unpleasant nights sleep. We were not refreshed at all . Awaiting reply from the Management who constantly apologies from staff who were struggling to deal with the issues . Or we will contact Hotels .com for advice

Delightful market town with a good market on Tuesdays. Parking was free and we sampled a couple of local venues for food and refreshments. Town centre is compact and easy to walk around and the Parish Church was open for visits and private prayer. We enjoyed eating at the La Caravella and the Six Bells and enjoyed good quality food and friendly service at both. Rumseys for hot chocolate is a must!

Ideal accommodation to stay for visiting Thame and surrounding area, including Waddesdon Manor. Safe and secure parking and very close to al the Thame facilities. On Thame, it has a Tourist Information in the Town Hall having closed the Tourist Information office but not removed the signs! The apartment was clean, comfortable and warm and easy to relax in.

We were given a very warm welcome at the pub bar and returned later for a drink and to take advantage of the fire. The location was excellent for our jazz night in Thame and had beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Breakfast was reasonable. The room looked lovely and had a big shower in the ensuite.

Nice room, comfy bed. Good hotel. Receptionist was very rude on arrival. Not helpful at all. Said wr couldn't check in until 3 without even checking. She then looked at saw that we have booked for early check in! Great hotel but first impressions weren't great. The Reception needs to Learn some manners.

The location was quiet and there was parking for 2 cars next to each other. It's in a new build housing estate, so only houses. We had some difficulty finding it as Google Maps got very lost, but maybe that was phone signal. It was only a short drive to Thame and Princes Risborough.

Quirky older hotel. Comfy beds, good full english breakfast. Central location. I got a garden suite with a downstairs seating area and fabulous large upstairs room. Was a bit cold to sit out still but would be great in summer.
