Stokenchurch is a lovely village with very pleasant residents. However the Kings Hotel is a big let down to the area. If I were to return I would find better accommodation. It would probably be alot cheaper and cleaner.
We booked three rooms, a double for my partner and myself, and two singles. We stayed one night for Garsington Opera – which is less than 10 minutes' drive from the hotel, making the location unbeatable if visiting Wormsley. The staff were really friendly and helpful, right from check-in. The breakfast was excellent, and good value.
Room was clean and staff where very helpful,the food was abit pricey but you pay for the quality and it was really good stayed here 6 nights for work and can't fault the place even came back a day later for another very nice hotel would definitely 1000% recommend
The location is somewhat remote, so self isolating Covid wise was as required. Nice country style walk to Stokenchurch or The Dashford Arms in opposite directions along the A40. Chris' Cafe is a good truck stop style eatery with decent choices at decent prices.
Good mid range hotel although our room was on the small side and we didn’t get the king size bed we had asked for. The room was very hot initially but the air con was excellent. Very clean. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Great choice for a couple of nights
Ash was a really decent caring man. He drove all the way from his house back to the hotel to sort me out a tablet to use Very impressed and appreciated. Very happy with my stay
