“I almost cancelled my plan to Dubronvik, because I can't find a good location accommodation. But I found this hostel. The owner is super nice. Location is THE BEST! Inside the old town”
“Nice and well looked after. As we were early they allowed us to drop our bags off until the room was done. All was in the apartment and fruit and water was there. Air con was on and the rooms were nice and cool for what turned out to be a very hot few days. The owner Iva was great, she came and explained how to get to the old town and the local restaurants, walks etc. location great. Definitely would come again to this historic city and great neighbourhood.”
“The location was great ~ next to the sea. Everything else was average. Our room was large with a balcony & the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful but the usual buffet. Gluten free bread was available.”
“We got a sea view room which is really worth it as the views are just gorgeous. It's a spacious room, bathroom is maybe a little dated but has all the facilities you need. I would say the location is fantastic just a 10 minute walk into the Old City. There are hotels in the Old City but to get the same facilities (pool, access to the sea) you would be paying more than double. Old City is also so busy and hectic. This location was really calm and it was nice to get away after a day's hectic sightseeing. The best thing was access to the sea - there is no beach but you get into the sea via some steps and it's absolutely gorgeous - so clear and clean. There are also places you can jump or dive in from high up on the rocks (we weren't brave enough but it looked amazing). There's also an indoor pool and gym and free classes like yoga every morning which I tried, on the pool deck overlooking the sea - so nice. The breakfast is fantastic, so much choice and live piano player every morning was a really nice touch! I have to commend the fish restaurant which was exceptional - we never usually eat at the hotel as we like to go out - but the setting was magical right on the sea, the food was out of this world and the service fantastic. The chef went out of his way to adapt the menu to our requirements as we don't actually eat shellfish and he devised an amazing menu for us. It's pricey but so are all the nice restaurants in Dubrovnik! If you're happy to splash out then don't be put off by the fact it's a hotel restaurant - it really was exceptional and a fantastic experience.
Tip - we didn't realise Uber operates in Dubrovnik - it's much cheaper than the taxis- less than half the price. For example Uber to the airport was 27EUR but taxi from hotel 50-60EUR.”
