  • Mexico City Hostel Review score: 10

“For a private room. It was an amazing stay ! The room was very comfortable, big and clean. The kitchen is fantastic, you can find everything you need. The location is perfect, only a few meters from the Zocalo. On the top, you have a big terrace with tables, chairs. It’s very nice to relax !”

  • “This was a really good place to rest for the night if you have a long stopover or if you just need somewhere quiet to rest. The facilities were spotless, the aircon was on throughout the facility and made for a nice break after the hot and humid afternoon. Staff were polite and friendly. The pod itself had enough room for me, and was comfortable enough and quiet and they gave you a small bottle of water which was welcome. Also gave you a small kit of roomy socks and earplugs to help settle in for the night. You were given a towel and the showers/bathrooms were well stocked so you can get refreshed after travelling. It was a really good price overall and still happy with the service and the facilities!”

“Location, atmosphere, tradition and service are great! Dinner at the Gaudí restaurant was excellent”

  • Downtown Beds Review score: 8

“I booked a reasonably priced bed in a quite basic four-bed room. The property is situated right in the city's historic core, practically around the corner from Zocalo Square. That proved to be an ideal base for going on day trips to visit and explore Tlatelolco, Xochimilco, Coyoacán (Frida Kahlo Museum), Guadalupe Shrine, Teotihuacan, and so on. I was alone in the room and among the very few guests staying there in mid-March. The whole place had an air of an abandoned ghost town about it, not that I minded. The neighbouring restaurant completely blew my mind with its lush green foliage covering every inch of the overhead space above the yard. The view from the terrace above the green canopy of the treetops was absolutely astounding, out of this world.”

  • Casa Columpio Review score: 10

“The staff of this hostel are like no others. They take their customers comfort and wellbeing very seriously and always to try to help and give recommendations. Being in this hostel felt like hanging out with my family and socialising with my own friends. The building is new and beautifully decorated, with everything you need in a hostel, on top of being walking distance to everything else. The location is amazing and the nearby streets are safe and quiet. I would highly recommend this hostel and I will sure be back whenever I visit Mexico again. Thanks Luis and Roberto for an unforgettable week!”

“Close to Alameda park or Hidalgo metro station. Beds are comfortable, great range of choices for breakfast and very helpful and attentive staff. They even sent postcards for me, although they normally don't offer the service.”
