Positive section of review
This is a charming little hotel located a few blocks from the bus station and just a short walk from the beach. It’s also within easy walking distance of the main high street, where you’ll find a few restaurants. There’s a pleasant walk around the peninsula, and the hotel offers bikes for hire if you want to explore further. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is organized into three sittings, and you’ll be asked to select your preferred time. The rooms are of a decent size, but the bathroom in ours was quite small and cramped. A nice option for a short, beach-focused stay.

Juan was an incredible host, super friendly and helpful. And spoke great English which is always a bonus for me! The apartment felt like it was a fancy tree house, completed emerged in trees with birds all around. It also had everything I needed, including a bath mat, dish detergent, sponge, tea towel, salt and pepper. I've discovered these are not to be taken for granted in Uruguay!

Good location for combining with Chuy and the colonial fortress, which is easily accessed by foot (ca 15-20 min slow stroll) and the structure could remind you of Italian “agriturismos”. It is pretty and a pretty unique place in the country. Friendly staff.

Food was so-so and the rooms are in need of significant renovations as they were quite run down. Beds are hard, thin mattresses on wooden bed structure.

We stayed longer than a week and the apartment was comfortable living with the baby, cooking, and working. The terrace was a great bonus for spending time outside and having breakfast.

The property was very stylish and comfortable with a lovely room and outside space. The breakfast was very good.

Although it is an amazing place, I cannot recommend it as out of the three nights that we stayed, for one we had 12 hours of really loud music pounding and got zero sleep. For another night we had the same between 2pm and 4pm which also made it impossible to sleep. I have never experienced such loud noise in a hotel room and even though it was coming from elsewhere, I wish we had had some warning about it - or even an apology. In addition, the breakfast was not available for one morning (Christmas day) and we were given vouchers for a cafe close by. The staff in the cafe were really rude and the food was bad.
