Pleasant, clean, and quiet. Friendly staff and the hotel is close to both the ferry and bus terminals, and to the old town. The room wasn't large but fine for one person The bathroom was nice with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was a simple continental fare. I would stay at this hotel again. Most people come to Colonia on a day trip from Buenos Aires, but it is worth staying the night as it is much quieter, you take in the sunset and there are a number of really pleasant restaurants a bar. I

Viajero Hostel is by far the best hostel in Montevideo, the hospitatily they provide from the managers (Mage & Mati) through all receptionists: Hernan, la chiquita, Rodri and very special mention to Kenny, and all the additional staff: Lusmi, Ari, Jose, Eze & Miche, everything was perfect, the pool table, the rooftop, the elevator, and of course the rooms, 100% recommended for those travelers Who want to have a great experience in Uruguay

The staff, Leonardo and his wife I think, was very nice and accomodating. Breakfast was good. Location very good. Room also, no complaints except tha the bed was a little soft for me. Room also had a barfridge and netflix and other "channels"

The location is great, right in the centre. The food at the restaurant on the ground floor is good. Staff was friendly.

The breakfast is very limited, and not very healthy. No vegan options. I had booked a Suite, which unfortunately had a bad smell that was quite annoying. The rooms are quite noisy, with noise coming both from outside and inside.

The location was ok.

The room was not clean. There was a large clump of hair from a previous guest in the shower, marks on the bathroom wall that I could wipe away easily with a towel. The bed was two single beds pushed together which was not comfortable. The staff were not very friendly or approachable so I didn’t feel like I could raise my concerns.

- After I checked in, I left the room. When I returned later that day, it turned out that the large sliding windows with access to the pool area was not locked. So all my stuff was there free accessable. - The room was very hot. Turned out that the airco/heater was on. The remote was not working. So I had to disconnect the power plug and open the window. - The breakfast only started at 8, and was very poor. I asked for an omelet. But only scrambled egg was possible. It had a very bad taste! (I guess from previous meal, or even cleaning product in the pan.) Then I also found a piece of plastic in my egg. - After check out I asked to use the public hotel toilet. The door handle was broken, and couldn’t be locked. Flushing didn’t work. Liquid soap was empty. Paper towels to dry your hands were empty…. Unacceptable for a 80$ stay!
