Hôtel & Spa Le Bouclier D'or is located in the historic La Petite France district in a 16th Century building, a 5-minute walk from Strasbourg Cathedral. This perfect little haven in the Petite France area of Strasbourg was an ideal base to explore this beautiful historic city. This renovated old building has everything - character, history, vintage furniture and modern facilities. We visited Strasbourg during the Christmas Market and while it was only a few minutes walk to the major market squares and the local restaurants, the immediate vicinity was pretty quiet - almost no vehicle traffic and just a few pedestrians, who mostly seemed to be taking their kids to the school opposite. We only saw one staff member (I’m sure there must be others) but he was very welcoming and informative, giving us good tips on where to go. We loved our room, which was very nicely furnished, but also had plenty of power points, a device charger on the desk and the most fantastic shower.

The room was spacious, modern and clean. They also managed to check me in before official times so I was very grateful for that. Best hotel breakfast I have had in a very long time. Will definitely stay again.

All the staff was really nice, kind and proactive. wonderful breakfast, amazing location. Beautiful Christmas decorations! They gave a Strasbourg’s mascot stuffed animal for our baby ❤️. Cozy hotel!
