Amazing hotel! The attention to detail is insane. Quirky lighting and decor, pick n mix, additional milk and water for the room, wellies and umbrellas for walks in the rain. The room was stunning, comfortable with the most amazing bathroom. We had a fantastic breakfast in bed. The staff were all brilliant, so calm and friendly providing the most excellent service.

Wonderful, World Heritage-listed Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.
Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.
Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the River Avon overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-levelled Pulteney Weir and Grade I-listed Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options are the Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and high street stores on Milsom and George streets.
North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.
Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath accommodation, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Lovely city. Lots of interesting places to see and visit.
Lovely city. Lots of interesting places to see and visit. Even The Crescent was within walking distance up steep hills. The GPS signal was poor and local people were quick to offer friendly advice. All the places we wanted were excellent especially the Hershel museum (astronomy) and the Roman Baths. Very good eating places. Traffic going to M4 was quite heavy and we chose the wrong time to leave the city.

A stunning city with so much to see and do in a such a perfectly sized space. A short walk through Victoria Park, a stunning view of the Royal Crescent and then down into the centre of Bath. Lots of really unique independent shops, such as the perfumery on Bond Street and the whiskey shop, where you can sample before you buy. Loads of cute side street bars and restaurants, lovely atmosphere and friendly people.

Great city, plenty to do and see.
Great city, plenty to do and see. Boat trips available along the river. Easily walkable city and many pretty historical sites. Lots of tourists in summer so good idea to prebook tickets where possible to avoid queues. Excellent choice of cafes, restaurants and bars.
It was pricier than what we'd normally pay for a hotel, but having seen the reviews and photos online, we decided to book anyway. I can honestly say it was the best hotel we've every stayed at. The central location was perfect - close to Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, the Pump Room, Pulteney Bridge and the shops. The building itself is really quaint and situated next door to the famous Sally Lunn Tea Rooms. Our room was beautifully decorated and had ample space. The staff were very welcoming and breakfast was really good also.
The Roseate Villa Bath is a beautiful, boutique-style accommodation in a tranquil garden setting. We received personalised service and attention to detail, a warm welcome and the little extras like afternoon tea and homemade treats. The location is also a plus, situated within easy walking distance to the city centre and main attractions like the Roman Baths. The rooms are spacious, stylishly decorated, and very comfortable, contributing to an overall luxurious experience.
Beautiful boutique hotel in the Town centre. The breakfast was great, many options to choose from at the downstairs café which was full of character. The next door pub wad also fun for a drink. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking at the nearby Waitrose, 2 min walk from the hotel was convenient. Our room was rather small but worked well for one night stay. Bed and linnen very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and shower was great! Overall a great stay.
The whole experience at Gainsborough Spa was fantastic, really warm welcome and complimentary room upgrade on arrival. Help with parking and drinks whilst we waited to check in. Feels more like a boutique hotel with nice visibility of staff , friendly, professional and attentive. Everything was easy, uncomplicated and relaxing Spa experience. Breakfast was very good.
