Located 2.7 km from Rye Ocean Beach, Links Lodge at The Dunes offers 4-star accommodation in Rye and features a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. Links Lodge is situated at The Dunes Golf Links, one of Australia's top public golf courses. The lodging is located on the Mornington Peninsula, where several high quality public golf courses are located. I started playing golf at The Dunes in 2007 on my first trip to Australia and have regularly played there on many trips. The stylish rooms offer good space and have modern shower and plumbing fixtures. The nearby clubhouse offers a menu with good breakfast and lunch. Golf tee times can be reserved, unless the stay is booked at times when course is closed to public play, such as when large multiday tournaments are held. I've found it possible on most trips to the area to get tee times at The Dunes. I usually stay at a small cottage nearby but this time it was unavailable part of my stay. I would consider the Links Lodge at The Dunes for another stay on future visits. There are in room safes offer an extra layer of security for those concerned about safeguarding travel documents. The lodging is fairly new and opened in the last few years. It is separated from the main clubhouse by a short distance and each unit has parking which is separate from common parking areas. My room was a two minute walk to the restaurant and clubhouse.

Located in Geelong, 1.5 km from Eastern Beach, Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong, an IHG Hotel provides accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. We stayed here after a long flight from the US. The room was very clean and nicely renovated. The bed was comfortable and it has multiple pillow options. The breakfast was so impressive. I would highly recommend staying here.

Set in Melbourne, 7.7 km from Melbourne Zoo, Adina Apartment Hotel Melbourne, Pentridge offers accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a garden and a terrace. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable.
