Reception staff were very friendly and provided lots of information about where to eat and activities to do. Handy...yes, but not sure how useful this is in reality. Friends who had travelled to Port Douglas previously had warned us to secure dinner bookings well in advance of the trip as places book out extremely quickly, especially during peak seasons. We stayed in a ground floor room with pool access. Pools are great. Good size and nice temp. We also didn't find them overcrowded with people.

Peter and Amanda are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The apartments are very well located close to the centre of Port Douglas with a flat 10 minute walk to the wharf, beach or shops. The apartment was very clean with a full compliment of kitchen and dining utensils for making breakfasts and lunches. There was also a communal fridge and table in the entrance where leftover food was left ... a great idea to reduce waste of perfectly good food!

Location Location Location AND it was a well designed and maintained property. The apartment was full of thoughtful details which made stay very comfortable. The host, Ken, was very warm and helpful. There is filtered water available and a relaxing seating area outside near reception. Lovely pool area. A very short one blick walk to Four Mile Beach and just a few feet from a restaurant. Highly recommend for an adult stay in Port Douglas.

Super location only steps from 4 mile beach, awesome staff (Meghan and John). Super helpful at all times. Quiet location away from Port Douglas city proper and all the other hotels etc. Still very easily accesible by local shuttle and for tour pick-ups. Awesome accommodation that felt cheerful, comfortable, quiet, clean and very spacious. Close to wildlife Habitat and IGA. Pub across the street was fun and local.

the apartment and the Beach club accomodation was amazing. Located so close to the beach and the town for easy walking. The apartment had everything we needed for a spacious and comfortable family holiday with our adult family, plus the pool and surrounding area was fantastic for relaxing. Will definitely go back the tourism in Port Douglas food, scenic locations and all the hospitality we visited were outstanding.

Spacious room, great kitchenette, green outlook onto garden and beyond that a lovely pool. 10 min drive (1hr walk) into Port Douglas, 15 min walk from Wildlife Habitat for breakfast with the birds and koalas - highly recommend the experience, well worth doing, great zoo for seeing lots of Australian wildlife in natural habitat enclosures. We booked for three nights and stayed five, lovely friendly staff

The Newport on Macrossan is located on the Main Street in Port Douglas surrounded by great restaurants and shops. Pat was friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to help us out after my son left his glasses behind. Our room was quiet at night. The pool and seating area were lovely during the hot days. The apartment was stocked with all that we needed. I'd definitely stay there again.

Great hippy chill vibe, open mic night was new and great Spanish singers. Unique in hostels, the double private room did smell of damp, no mould though. The air conditioning was weak didn’t sleep very well in such a humid city. Our door was also very difficult to open. Also had a ceiling fan. Great location of port Douglas. Bit of a party/smoking chill vibe. Staff were really nice.

Customer service and care was excellent. We were upgraded to a beach-side, pool-fronting apartment - what a treat! The apartments are so very spacious and well appointed; we truly felt indulged and in the lap of quiet luxury. We highly recommend Mandalay Luxury Beachfront Apartments to Port Douglas-bound holiday makers. We think it's the best of the bunch!

The location of our apartment was fantastic as it was located very close to the main street of Port Douglas. We loved the fact that our apartment had a secluded patio which provided us with ample privacy. The actual studio was well-equipped and had everything we needed in terms of kitchen, bathroom, and laundry essentials..

Very friendly staff. Well located to 4-mile beach, a 10-15 minute walk from the main stretch of Port Douglas. We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment and it was very sizable, full kitchen, and in-room laundry facilities. The shared BBQ area was a nice feature. Ended up extending our stay here from 4 nights to 8.

Fabulous apartment with all the things for a stay like you were at home. Nicely decorated and generous kitchen supplies as well as toiletries. Quiet and cool. Loved it! I was also very kindly collected when my taxi from my previous accommodation in Port Douglas was unavailable. Thanks so much Michelle and John!

Central location in Port Douglas, made going out very easy. It was affordable, spacious and of great value. Would definitely recommend. They supply board games in each room, which was fun! It was a good way to spend time together during the wet season. We really enjoyed our stay in our apartment.

The location was excellent, in the heart of Port Douglas. There was always plenty of free and unlimited parking available along the road and even in the hostel’s own small private car park. The mattresses were comfortable and there was AC in the room. Staff were friendly. The pool was a nice bonus.

The position of the apartments were exceptional for a stay in Port Douglas, additionally the staff were welcoming, informative and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Internet was great and the pool area was the ideal place to unwind after a day of activities.

We visit Port Douglas regularly and divide our time between the Sheraton Mirage and the Pullman. We had stayed at the Pullman Sea Temple on a previous occasion and found the penthouse to be luxurious and we couldn't wait to return. Our recent experience was very different.

It is a fantastic location, right in the middle of Port Douglas. Ample restaurants and drinking establishments. Unit was great, just the right size for my husband and myself, kitchen had everything you needed. Unfortunately here comes the let downs for the unit.

Comfortable resort with a good pool, decent buffet breakfast and the shuttle bus service into Port Douglas was excellent. Liked the rooftop with BBQ and Spa above our apartment, was good to have our own space and ability to cook for ourselves.

Good convenient location near Port Douglas. Comfortable room and large comfortable bed. Largest shower we had on our trip and good hot water and pressure. Pool to use. Easy after hours check in process. Responsive and communicative staff.

I know Port Douglas well and this hotel is in a great location. It's clean and well managed and has a pool. A pool is important in Port because the beach is very ordinary. Most beaches that far up the coast are a disappointment.
