I have wanted to visit Kashmir for 30 years,it did not disappoint.Shrinagar is an excellent base to visit the surrounding towns.The locals were friendly,helpful and engaging.Most of them spoke some English and often thanked us for visiting.I felt honoured to be there and highly recommend a visit as soon as possible.I will return!

People are nice and we interacted with both local men and women.Althoughmost tourist places have local men who constantly stare at women and being a family visiting the place, it’s kinda makes women uncomfortable, as women can’t walk alone without having some locals coming after. Also please take taxi stand and insist on receipts and also from hotels too.

Srinagar is best in the summer. We visited end of November and the weather was damp and foggy, not favorable. People are pushy and are very much after tipping or money. In this regards, quality of service is missing. 2 days is enough for Srinagar.
Had an exceptional stay at Lala Rulh Heritage Group of Houseboat's in Dal lake Srinagar. The location was fantastic, close to attractions. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a comfortable experience. Modern rooms and great amenities. Will definitely return for another memorable visit.

Qayaam Gah was the most special stay for us in Kashmir, from the hard to find location, the beautiful and comfortable seven villas, Sufi music performance at sunset, morning yoga session, and of course the stupendous views being surrounded by the Zabarwan mountain ranges and Dal Lake spread out in the distance.

The location was great very near to dal lake. We like the place and the family atmosphere given by Abrar bhai, he always available for us to provide all kinds of facilities like cable car, local travel, taxi, shikara bookings etc, we visited this hotel with my son he enjoyed a lot in garden area, i recommend to everyone.
