The dal lake and the city is beautiful. It was very crowded with tourists but once you leave the Dal lake part, the city is very pretty, with gardens and lakes. We vivted Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pahelgam. They were wonderful!!

First and foremost, never stay on House boat for more than one night. Everything is in bad shape here, Food on house boat is never to be tried.
Once you stay on ground you have lovely sightseeing experience.
Good food is available mostly in the central city restaurants. The lake close by restaurants are expensive and not so good food. At dal Lake Gate 9, Bistro restaurant is very good food though expensive.
Do not miss any of the gardens, then Sankaracharya Temple.

The area offers a variety of interesting places and history.
The area offers a variety of interesting places and history. With delicious snacks and drinks in the city center, it's easy to get around all day. There are buses and cabs that connect you well on land and water. But you can also rent a bike. Lots of green and blue, incredibly beautiful gardens, temples and simply untouched nature. The small town centers are full of traditional crafts and stores for shopping. exciting architecture and temples, mosques or a museum are not far away. The people are all very nice and can show you the way if you get too lost.

I have wanted to visit Kashmir for 30 years,it did not disappoint.Shrinagar is an excellent base to visit the surrounding towns.The locals were friendly,helpful and engaging.Most of them spoke some English and often thanked us for visiting.I felt honoured to be there and highly recommend a visit as soon as possible.I will return!
This is one of the best hotels I have even been to. Staff here are exceptionally well trained, polite and always smiling. They always listen to your queries and try to solve your issues as fast as they can.
I normally don't write reviews but it would be unfair to not write. I felt so warm and got the best experience of my lifetime.This hotel is an example of how Kashmir and its people are in real sense.
I love Srinagar and everytime I am in this beautiful city Hotel Royal Plaza will be my first choice. ❤️

The best 5 star hotel experience we had, we stayed there for 1 night given to us was great, there a girl in the reception who I would like to give special thanks for her hospitality, Saba was her name and this is to thank you for enormous level of hospitality and greetings you showed to us during our stay. The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. I have stayed at dozen of hotels . This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Thank you so much. Highly recommended to visit this property.I would really recommend everyone to spend time with their families here. I’m happy with overall experience of my stay there.
FYI the cost for additional breakfast is INR 700. Even though the listing mentions it as INR 550. Also, the room was too warm, we asked the maintenance people to check but the issue wasn't resolved in one of the rooms. The extra bed was quite uncomfortable. While there were no major issues and our stay was overall comfortable, I would say this hotel is not worth the money that they are charging.
The rooms were exquisite and comfortable. The housekeeping services were great. Receptionist very humble and nice. We booked by mistake 3 nights, but we wanted only 2 nights, what we realized at the checkout. They where unbelievable helpful and didn't charge the 3rd night, what was our mistake 🙏🙏We are really thankful, if we come back to Srinagar, we will only stay at Hotel Green Rooms.
Choosing this property was the best decision I made. The scenic view of the mountains and the Dal lake left me spellbound. Luckily, I had the chance to experience little snowfall and you can already imagine the rest.The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable.This property is really worth staying at, and I’m sure to stay at Aman Palace again in my next visit to Srinagar.
The place felt like home. A very quiet location near Dal Lake. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a very nice common area. The owner treated me like a son, and helped me out with other local tasks and sightseeing as well. Food was homemade and tasty. Would 100 percent stay here again if coming to Srinagar and would recommend to others as well.
Its the best stay for tourists from anywhere. Stays near dal lake. John bhai is an excellent host, Kind and friendly. He takes care of all and his suggestions are also best. The rooms are clean and hygiene and provides a full functional kitchen. I had a wonderful stay.
