Leh is cold throughout the year. That is the basic point we to remember. And at a altitude with its associated problems. Otherwise it is great holiday spot. So much to see.
A definite must to visit many times.

Most visitors to Leh prefer to stay longer to tour the valleys nearby. We went during the off-season and the main reason was to get away from the Delhi chaos over a weekend. So Leh served its purpose for us. The main market area has good cafes, restaurants and shops. Shanti Stupa is also present in Leh. Good vibes nothing less. Leh has a large Indian Army presence so we felt very safe and secure :)

Scenic views all around with the most amazing people!
Scenic views all around with the most amazing people! Momos were my favourite local dish that you can find at most restaurants. Love that Leh is more pedestrian friendly and quiet compared to the rest of India. Perfect destination for relaxation.

Its always in the bucket list of most Indians.
Its always in the bucket list of most Indians. Has the highest motorable roads, its a paradise for adventure seekers, highest saltwater lake, cold desert, treacherous roads, borders mof two neighbouring countries. Its a must visit place.

I was expecting a little more of the city.
I was expecting a little more of the city. The market is nice, I had some fine food, but the streets and sidewalks are too disorganized, there are signs "don't walk alone in the dark because of the stray dogs" (?!?!?), it's pretty smoggy and conservation in general is lacking. Came by bicycle through the Manali-Leh road, which was amazing, but the city itself wasn't a highlight of the trip.

Amazing place.
Amazing place. Beautiful city, the cleanest place in India I've ever seen . The old city definitely worth visiting and walking around. Good tibetian food is everywhere and also nice souvenirs, like essence and stones.
Felt like that's one of the best places in India to be if you're looking for a pure energy, clean space and peaceful environment.
I was in this place twice and always the end of the trip I used to select the budget friendly place and location for souviuner and Ladakh Palace View is no doubt best choice. The market is just 2 min.
Rooms are capacious and also they were having centralised heating.
The staff of the hotel are courteous ,friendly and very helpfull.
Special mentioned to the host or manager Mr.Sourabh who is very welcoming and always in front to guide you with best advice.
Had great time !
Thanks to the Team
Shib and his collegeaus are amazing hosts. The rooms are really big and what I loved the most was having my breakfast in their beautiful garden every morning. I planned to stay a few days but ended up staying a month and exploring from there beautiful impressive Ladakh.. Shib became a friend and he took me to beautiful sites of the region as well - we also attended a traditional Tibetian Festival. I am happy to leave India with new friends... :) Sure I will visit again. Come!
Food was really good just like Ghar ka khana.
Everything was good whether it is location, food, cleanliness, totally value for money.

I loved everything about this hotel. I splurged after spending a week in Ladakh with bucket showers and hotels without electricity or hot water. This place was heaven. Upon arrival I was offered coffee and biscuits. The bed was so comfortable. The balcony view was gorgeous. If I had more time, I would have stayed an extra night and slept in pure bliss.
I had a really amazing stay here, I spent two nights at the start of my trip to Ladakh and one more night before flying out. The whole family showed absolutely amazing hospitality, and the home cooked meals were amazing - definitely have dinner there! The view from the terrace in the morning is also glorious and peaceful. Highly recommend this place
It was so beautifully situated on the Indus River. All the staff - especially Jigmet - were so welcoming and bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. Jigmet even took us on a walk to a camel sanctuary, pointing out particular aspects of the landscape and Ladakhi architecture. The food is delicious and you are served so much of it.
really chill and friendly vibes - lovely people. super easy to meet other travelers. ended up staying here three times between road trips and treks around Ladakh - felt very secure leaving my big luggage behind. Nice staff & adorable puppy. Only a 10min walk to the main Bazaar, very convenient. great mountain views from the terrace.
Our stay at gostops Leh was amazing. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and they also guided us on how to travel inside Ladakh along with helping us explore offbeat locations. The food was mashallah and the view from the hostel was delightful. Special thanks to Abhimanyu and Puneet for making our stay lovely and memorable.
We really enjoyed staying in Norbooling Homestay. The staff has been always keen to chat with us and pay attention to our needs. They gave us a good tips what to see in Ladakh. We felt very welcome here. It's quite place for relaxing. Food was delicious. It's half hour walking to city center as well as from the airport.
All are very friendly.... especially the owner Gonbo....i talk to him about Andaman and sometimes we both suddenly crack a joke....which was memorable for me....when I told him that I want to eat ladakh authentic food...he prepared momos for me in ladakhi style and it was so yummy i can't explain it.😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
The hospitality of the staff was very good. They gave us personal attention and saw to our needs. Ms. Anu and the owner Mr. Arnab gave us a briefing about the acclimatization to the altitude which helped us a lot. They also helped us plan our Ladakh stay and to acquire oxygen cylinders for our travel.
The feeling in being Ladakh, this property located beside a small farm field(like a kitchen garden). you can see the Snowy mountains in each direction. there was pin drop silence. That silence was such deep that you can hear your own heart beat.
Hospitality of Mr. Sonam is top notch.. and the breakfast prepared from the vegetables of garden is fresh as 💎 gem. Stay offers guests feel of the traditional ladakhi village and one option for night stay
who are enrotue tso mo ro ri lake
Thangkop guesthouse became like home to me when in traveling in Ladakh. The family’s warm hospitality makes the stay so cozy and it’s a truly a blessing to have a house to come back after spending cold nights in the desert snowy mountains !
Very clean, huge room, breakfast and dinner included, and very friendly staff - I liked all of it. The hotel seems new and is well kept up. Considering everything the hotel has to offer, the room rate is very fair.
