    Tiny village but good location.

Tiny village but good location. Does have pub, petrol station, corner shop, bus stop and steam train stop. Car recommended. Not as close to Lake Bala as we thought. Nothing (apart from village amenities) is walking distance

able to travel out to other areas, only local shop is in pub across road, neighbours have access to there garden via cottage garden, so neighbours do walk pass kitchen window, parking is a big issue with property, we was very lucky the pub across the road let us park for the week in there carpark. nothing really do were cottage is but have walk. so you have to travel out, nice meals in pub only a stone throw from cottage, i would avoid booking any cottage with no parking. is very easy to see whole village in over one hr visited visited water falls, portmeirion must visit for any one llangollen, lovely little village Harlech castle, Barmouth, nice food in cyfnod café and bistro in Bala town. if your prepared to travel there is lots lovely hidden gems.

Very quiet little village, there is one pub that had lovely welcoming staff and a nice outdoor seating area with a great view. Not a lot going on but there’s a train into nearby Bala where there are a few more places to eat and drink and several shops. Plenty of walking routes, ideal for a quiet countryside getaway. There’s plenty of water sports options on Lake Bala with a great water sports centre and cafe. We walked round the lake and into Bala it’s a great walk but probably not suitable for young children as it’s a good 6 miles and some of it is on a road.
