Taste of the food (especially the steak and breakfast in the main restaurant), space of room, spa massage, location, walking around the lake, the amount of things to do around the lake, lovely views and the room hot chocolate,

Tiny village but good location. Does have pub, petrol station, corner shop, bus stop and steam train stop. Car recommended. Not as close to Lake Bala as we thought. Nothing (apart from village amenities) is walking distance

Very quiet little village, there is one pub that had lovely welcoming staff and a nice outdoor seating area with a great view. Not a lot going on but there’s a train into nearby Bala where there are a few more places to eat and drink and several shops. Plenty of walking routes, ideal for a quiet countryside getaway. There’s plenty of water sports options on Lake Bala with a great water sports centre and cafe. We walked round the lake and into Bala it’s a great walk but probably not suitable for young children as it’s a good 6 miles and some of it is on a road.
