Breath taking. Amazing. Beautiful.
Breath taking. Amazing. Beautiful. My most favourite mountain. But remember as touristy as it is, it's still a mountain you are climbing and conditions can change quickly so wear proper clothing and shoes and take plenty of water and food.

Fantastic trip. Great hostel, lovely staff and so clean. Fully equipped kitchen plus warm and cosy. Perfect location for various climbs and walks including Snowdon. Within walking distance to llanberis village.
The apartment was very cosy, cleanest place we’ve stayed in a while, a great size for a family, and it had the basic things you could need on holiday. Location was great too as it was near a lot of amenities, various walks, especially if you are planning to hike or catch the train up to Snowdon mountain. And the owners were so lovely, helpful and easily contactable.
Well situated for walks and Snowdonia attractions. Excellent for bus service. Stylish dining areas. Food good. Nice atmosphere in hotel. Very comfortable bed and room.
Great location to walk Mt Snowdon.
Easy to find.
Room very clean
Facilities: kettle, fridge and access to microwave very good.
Good communication from hotel for access etc
The staff were friendly and considerate, the man on check-in moved me to a room with women rather than a mixed room and they did their best at every step to make sure everyone got a good room for them. It's a great location to walk the Llanberis path up Snowdon from. There's plenty of space, the food is good. I have no bad word to say. It's a hostel-type, so if you're expecting hotel level comfort then it's not going to cut it, but as long as your expectations are sensible it's great!
Darren was extremely helpful and well-informed about the local area and transportation options.I met some amazing people at the hostel, and we ended up climbing Snowdon together. The showers were nice and warm.Everyone was very helpful.
Fantastic staff who were so helpful during my stay, they really would go above and beyond what I would expect from a hostel. The kitchen was well equipped and really spacious, wifi was super fast, showers heat up quickly, and the location is beautiful. Would really recommend staying here if you want to hike Snowdon, I had a great time.
We had the best week at The Lake View Hotel. Amy and James were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious with lots to choose from - the porridge is a must! The hotel is clean and cosy with lots of personality. Location was perfect, especially if climbing Snowdon. The Llanberis route is within walking distance, other routes are accessible via bus which stops right outside. Would definitely recommend.

Parking in Llanberis is cheaper and has more options than at Pen-y-pass (£10 per day vs £4 / £7 per day) so from Llanberis, leave your car and take the Snowdon Sherpa bus to Pen-y-pass in the morning and go on the Pyg Track or Miners Track to the summit of Snowdon and then descend the mountain via the Llanberis Path so you do not have to go up and down the same route.
