Great restaurant's to take your pick from. A really lovely pub (The Australia) highly recommend and the Snowdonia national park on your doorstep . you can also take advantage of the main line train to do large sections of the Wales coastal path getting off and walking a section and on again at different stations, Note, please tell the conductor witch station you want to get off at as the train doesn't stop automatically at all stations.

Porthmadog is the perfect place to stay when visiting Portmerion, or if walking and exploring the area. It does have a pretty harbour/marina. There are plenty of choices for eating out. Plus the heritage railway is a short walk.

Beautiful town and surrounded by lots to do and good amenities . We travelled to Ffestiniog to get train to llandudno, which was a lovely journey and a 1/ 5 of price of heritage train trips. We will definitely be going back to stay again..
We stayed in a Cabana and for a family of four it was amble for a couple of nights. The lodge was very modern and super clean. The kids loved the mezzanine sleeping area. We are at the hotel both nights, and the food was delicious. The pizza on the outside pizza oven was a highlight and the kids were happy playing in the play park which was viewable from the outside dining area. Location is also idea for everything you might want to do in the area. All in all really lovely break and would 100% recommend it.
Excellent service and great host's. Perfect location for town. Plenty of parking available. The breakfast selection was ideal with everything you could possibly want. I had the full English that was cooked to perfection. We stayed in room 8 the large double room that was spotlessly clean with everything you needed for a relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel that I will book again the next time I am in that area. Thanks again to the great host's.
The location is central to the city and boat marina as well as pubs and shopping area. Our room was cozy, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and were totally happy with the food. The mussels were the star of the meal, probably the best I've ever eaten. Breakfast was a typical LARGE British and was very good. Yr Hen Fecws is highly recommended IMO.
Could not fault anything - all of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Place was amazing - nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Ate at the castle in the evening and it was excellent. Had breakfast at the hotel in the morning- again excellent. We didn't have the best of weather but it didn't take away from the enjoyment.
Beautiful location. There was a lot to do nearby. Close to Porthmadog and plenty of attractions only a short drive away. Food was exceptional. The room was very clean and comfortable. The complimentary beer and chocolate went down very well. We were made very welcome. Definitely recommend to anyone thinking of visiting the area.
Loved the location of the hotel, Tremadog is a really picturesque little village. The room was lovely and didn't disappoint, we loved the outside patio area with seating for drinks before our meal. The food in the restaurant was great and the atmosphere very relaxed, the staff very pleasant, would definitely stay again!
