“The location in Old Town Riga is brilliant, you are in the centre of everything with popular tourist spots, restaurants and bars right outside of the hotel. The team set the tone for the stay, being friendly and welcoming.
The hotel closes the main gates in the evening with entry to the rooms available via reception (right next to the gates), which stops groups of tourists cutting through and creates a very peaceful environment for sleep.
The rooms are beautiful and much larger than expected, while they have a traditional look on the outside blending perfectly with the surrounding buildings, the facilities are modern and the beds are large and comfortable. A potential downside for people with additional accessibility requirements is that some of the rooms are upstairs, however there are ground floor rooms.
The breakfast was varied, with plenty of room to sit. It can get busy, so going earlier to avoid a rush is better.”

“The hotel is easy to find (mind you, I know Riga quite well), it's a walking distance from bus and railway station, and also the bus stop to the airport is not that far. The room was big enough and had everything I needed.
The breakfast was good, offered a great choice of food, nice and clean eating area.
Checking in was easy and quick”

“If you love the peace of nature, this is your place. No amenities, but a lovely riverside, lots of birdsong and frogs croaking. It was good to sleep in the tent, it wasn't cold or damp.”

“The restaurant was excellent. The food and service were as fine as any Micheli Bib Gourmand restaurant we have enjoyed.
The property accommodated all ages, with spa, sporting activities, and children's playground, all at a pleasantly modest scale that made all feel welcome at this lake resort. I would recommend the Baltvilla for a short overnight stay or for a week's vacation.”
