“The couple running the ryokan are exceptionally nice. The rooms were clean and fresh, the bed was very traditional and very good. The bath was also extremely good and really relaxing after a long day. This was a traditional building and looked very nice, almost as if you stepped back in time!”
“This was the most luxurious place we stayed in japan. The dinner and breakfast were unbelievable - the other hotels we stayed at couldn't compare with the meals here. We were one pescetarian and one vegetarian (notified the hotel in advance) and were extremely impressed by the food. Beautiful location, we stayed in the room with the balcony which was glorious. Would have loved to stay longer”
“The three onsens were great, so fun just having a quick spa whenever you felt like it day or night!
Very flexible with food preferences/dietary requirements they are able to cater to anyone
Yudanaka town was pretty quiet in spring, not much going on but very relaxing nonetheless
The rooms were very clean and so spacious
The scenery around this part of Japan is way more beautiful than I had expected
Easy to get here - one 45 min train from nagano station”
“Delightful ryokan. Staff were very kind and friendly. It has public onsen (separate for men and women) and a private family onsen. Room was comfortable and it was nice to arrive and have green tea ready in our room. Food was delicious - one of us is pescetarian and the other vegetarian (we notified Fukashiso in advance) and the dinner was extremely good. We enjoyed the sake tasting option.
There is a shuttle from the train station to the ryokan in the afternoon (I think 3:30 and 5:30) and from the ryokan to the station in the morning (9am and 10am). But you can also take the local bus (takes about 20 mins).”
“The staff were polite and able to speak some English. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. The meals were delicious and beautifully served. The onsen was clean and comfortable.”
“The hotel is modern and cosy. It is perfectly located between the main railway station and the castle. Plus, it is surrounded by so many good restaurants. The staff are nice and helpful and they offer noodles to guests at 9pm, much appreciated”
