“Honestly- I don’t know why this place gets such bad reviews! I stayed here one night and I had a very pleasant stay! I liked my room a lot, it was comfortable spacious and clean and I thought that the owners were very pleasant as well! The room I stayed in was with a shared bathroom. I though the bathroom was clean and I also stashed some food in the refrigerator and that was very clean as well! Of course the building is quite old so overall the place could use a little TLC. But it’s in a great location! The town is cute and quiet, with several onsens, temples and cute shops. But I do agree with every one else akin regards to the extra charges- especially the parking.”

“Love the close access to the monkey park. Appreciated the shuttle there and liked taking the short walk back to the ryokan afterwards. The outdoor onsens were a bit too hot for this time of year, but very nice walking around the little town and doing the stamps. The owners were very friendly and the onsen in the building was beautiful, especially in the middle of the night while I still had jetlag.”
