Food was poor quality, not very busy for the lack of care and effort from the chef, glasses dirty an both breakfast and evening time Entertainment could be better a quick 30 minuet effort

Bar closed till 5.30 so no drinks to be had closed at 10,ridiculous for a hotel ,very short breakfast time 8 till 8.30 so mad morning rush no time to get up and turn around needs to be at least 8 till 9.30 I understand it was out of season but all guests need the same treatment not just high season and when I pay for a sea view I don't expect to have to strain to see it very poor veiw

the room was very hot when we arrived abit uncomfortable as we cudnt turn the radiators down and the mini fridge didn't work as we brought drink 😞 and the side bed draws were still sticky of previous spilt drinks but apart from that it was a pleasure stopping there 👍

Our room was very spacious with plenty facilities and harbour facing the bar is very cosy and the bar staff were very pleasant 😊

But this time The ladies were really rude :(( We were late for check out and they came in the room to tell us we are late without knocking And the lady that called from the reception wasnt very polite taking the mick that we will take another hour to leave

Breakfast 8-8 30 ! Evening meal 6 -6 30!! Bar closed 10 pm (no one serving most of the day) chap working there said need more guests not staff I said have you seen the reviews for the Royal and the Brittania hotels . He said no don’t read reviews only left by people who don’t know what they are talking about.

Location , price £60 a night double room great . Building beautiful but needs lots of attention (it is old)

The room we stayed in was very hot, too hot, We had to complain to the staff, and was told that the heating goes off at ten, but later was told it was twelve o'clock, We even had to put a fan on to cool us down, This made it very hard to get to sleep, Which was a shame as we really liked the hotel,

Breakfast was excellent, and there was plenty of choice, and it was always hot. The evening meal was awful on 2 of the nights. None of it was too our taste the soup was fine, and the puddings were good but the main meal was poor to say the least. Our room was clean but was cold most of the time, as it is winter the heating should be on all day.

The entrance was beautiful, and the Christmas decorations were magnificent. Entertainment was good and the walk through to the ballroom was lovely along with the ballroom.

Room wasn't ready to check in and had to wait an hour with luggage and a dog. Having to check out by 10am on new years day.

Stayed on New Year’s Eve and was a fabulous evening. Great entertainment. Had late check-out which was amazing would recommend after a late night.

Obviously it is an historic hotel, that is expensive to run and maintain, therefore the bedrooms are dated and tired. The spare pillows in the wardrobe did not have pillow cases on them and were very stained. The windows did not look like they had been washed in years.
