The hotel itself is starting to feel a bit dated, it has been around 5-6 years since we first stayed in this hotel and in that time it has not undergone any kind of refurb, the furniture & fixings are now starting to feel a bit worn. There has been a pub/nightclub open nearby and the volume of the music was a bit too much, I acknowledge that there is likely not a lot that the hotel itself can do about it though, perhaps if there is a possibility of upgrading the single glazed windows to the front of the hotel that would make a difference.

We have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions now, each time we stayed we have to compliment the staff, very friendly & efficient, the food is of a good quality, we had both breakfast and a room service meal. The room itself was pretty spacious. The hotels location within the city centre and within walking distance of both the train/bus station id definitely a plus point.

 Rooms look dated and could do with a refresh. But that was reflected in the price - all in all excellent value for money.

Location couldn’t have been more central to Union street. Staff couldnt have been nicer. Free motorbike parking at Golden Square. That felt safe and secure. Plus was only one lane away from the back door to the hotel.

Not much of a selection left. We arrived at the end of the window and very little food remaining . The walk from the car park to the back door was very bumpy and pretty tricky to do with a wheelchair

Housekeeping staff were very rude Bar staff are very slow and not enough of them, we were a group of 12, over 20 minutes to be served simple drinks order Keys keep requiring reset which is not acceptable up and down during stay Residents cannot get a drink post a certain time which lost hotels offer this facility No open reception at night time, must buzz in like a hostel Whilst Rooms were comfortable but better/more pillows are needed

Shower in the bath and a little complicated to get the water going. The hotel needs a little tlc, scuffed paint work, threadbare carpet on the stairs and ill-fitting floorboards that make you feel like you are stepping in a hole, maybe I was.

Great location for shopping, socialising and eating, loads of stairs but good for clocking up the steps count, there is a lift. Breakfast was a good varied selection. Comfortable bed and our room was spacious and clean. Lovely view over the city and Union Terrace gardens.

There was some sort of alarm squealing all night - not the hotel’s fault but we found it difficult to tune it out. Breakfast wasn’t included in the room rate. There was lipstick on my breakfast orange juice glass.

the breakfast was great, but felt the food at dinner time was a bit of a let down. For example, the veg looked off and the sticky toffee pudding was a bit hard.

On initial enquire through Booking.Com I requested daily room rate has breakfast included, which was not included on arrival and cost extra, The car parking is hit / miss if your lucky to find parking space, on which I was fortunate, and as the parking area does not belong to the hotel, the reception personnel did not have full understanding of the parking payment process,
