Location! The drive up through mid Wales was spectacular enough and Lake Vyrnwy was no different. Outstanding views - the area is stunning.
Staff were great, very helpful and polite. We travelled around the area during the 4 days there so ate out for lunch/dinner and didn't experience this at the hotel. We did have breakfast there though and cannot compliment it enough.
The Pod was in a lovely setting within easy reach of Lake Vyrnwy and it's attractions.
It was our first experience in a Pod and we found it clean and cosy with everything you needed for a short break.
We have been several times and always have a lovely relaxing break. Beautiful views of Lake Vyrnwy from the hotel. All staff are friendly and helpful. Will be back again and would always recommend to friends and family. Thank you
Lovely hotel in an excellent location, overlooking Lake Vyrnwy . The views are breathtaking from virtually every window you look out of . The staff are simply the best , with a few being bilingual in English & Welsh . Sitting in the restaurant overlooking the lake for breakfasts and evening meals is definitely a highlight. There are some nice walks surrounding the lake , with the Rhiwargor Waterfalls being a definite highlight. This is a lovely hotel for a special occasion.
Beautiful rooms and views of the lake just as advertised! What a pleasure staying at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa, it's a great choice especially for special occasions.
The room was clean and pretty, we were lucky to have a bathtub with a view on the lake. Complimentary bottles of water in the room was a nice touch as well.
Breakfast was copious, a dish freshly prepared can be picked, as well as a cold side (such as a yogurt, muesli, ham/cheese). We also had orange juice and a coffee/tea.
Staff was pleasant and professional.
The hotel’s location is amazing, with beautiful views of the lake especially at sunset, and the local bird populations are incredible. The hotel itself is lovely with a real ‘family-run’ vibe, in a large but tranquil setting and very generous accommodation and food. The spa was great too! But the staff are what really made our stay special, so much so that we have decided to make it a regular family getaway spot! Thank you Lake Vyrnwy Hotel!

Lake Vyrnwy is absolutely stunning and the view from the hotel is to die for. The staff are phenomenal, courteous, nothing is too much. The hotel has a very romantic feel to it and is a bit like an old castle inside. Room was comfy and clean, and I especially loved that there was a dragon toy "guarding" it. Big selection for breakfast and the food was delicious. Warmly recommend!!!
Excellent location overlooking the very epic lake Vyrnwy. The hotel itself felt quite old school (not a bad thing) with a drawing room and a carpeted bar, complete with mahogany furniture. However there was also an onsite tavern, where you could go for drinks in a more relaxed environment. We also tried the spa, which was pretty good for £10 for two hours. We had a dog with us which worked out well, you just couldn't take dogs into the restaurant, drawing room or bar but dogs were allowed in the tavern.
