Beautiful, incredibly preserved small market town.
Beautiful, incredibly preserved small market town. The weather didn't allow us to explore close surroundingds as we wished.
The town itself has got plenty of pubs, cafes, gift shops, art shops.
The people we met so friendly.
The cherry on the cake is a second hand book shop. The books there just incredible!

The parking was not good steep narrow road I think once inside the property there was 44 steps or stairs some very steep and narrow, wouldn’t recommend to guests with any type of mobility issues. Lounge furniture needs replacing very old and uncomfortable lounge smelt musty. One of the bedrooms very damp with mushroom type mould Growing on wall and carpet. Bathrooms very nice modern plenty of them. Everything you needed supplied in the kitchen. Beds very comfortable lovely bedding. Garden unkempt and garden furniture rusty.

A well maintained property, with delightful hosts. Breakfasts very good.
Lovely gardens and views of the countryside/hills. Room facilities good, comfy & cosy. I plan to stay here again when next visiting the area. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Good base for lots of things. great walking area. I used it as a base for a golfing break as it's in the centre of a triangle of some great links golf courses incl St David's [Harlech], Aberdovey, and Porthmadog, And the spectacular Welshpool GC with amazing views over 5 counties! The wonderful village of Portmeirion [famous for it's use in the 60's TV series 'The Prisoner'] is not too far away either

Great walking - either flat to Barmouth, or up the mountain. A great selection of pubs, all serving good beer, and a decent curry house (the Lemon Grass - but cash only and BYOB). Has everything you need for a few days away.

Beautiful thriving little market town with lots of unique shops, as well as a few staples, and a big Spar. The restuarant that we went to (Y Sospan) was amazing. You don't need a car to get around town, and if you bring your bikes or walking gear, the estuary and mountains are yours for the views and swimming.

A lovely little town with many attractive shops and restaurants.
We visited the tapas bar more than once.
The food was delicious.
It is an ideal location for exploring the Snowdonia area and for going south to Mid-Wales.
A beautiful location with large rooms in a stunning location. The staff of the hotel are really excellent, offering a much nicer experience than a standard corporate hotel chain. We felt really looked after, without being overwhelmed by too much service. Breakfast was really good and the breakfast/dining area is lovely. The same is true of the sitting room - we had a couple of nights finishing off a bottle of wine by the fire, which was magical. Dinner was great for a special occasion. I would love to come back.
We booked the deluxe family room for the four of us (all adults) and we liked the style of the room a lot! The room was located on the top floor and we liked that they provided us with fans - much needed even after the heatwave! Bathroom was spacious and everything was clean. We also liked breakfast where you can order cooked food. We checked in quite late in the evening so the hotel car park was full already. But there was a public car park not far away so it was not a big problem.
Found this place last minute on Booking.com after I felt the need for a break and to be close the sea.
A great find indeed !
My two children and I stayed in the "Stables" and it has everything you could possibly need for a holiday, full cooking facilities, fridge, freezer, large dining table, 3 bedrooms, including one with en suite. Lounge area. And absolutely wonderful views ! Only a 15 minute drive to the beach
We felt, safe, happy and cosy !
Can't wait to return!
Lovely B&B Annexe on a hillside with great views over Dolgellau and Cadair Idris mountain. The roomy annexe had a large double bed, bunk beds,a seating area with lovely views, a Kitchenette with small fridge but no cooker, and a small ensuite shower room. Our hosts Norma and Robert were very friendly. The English breakfasts were superb.
This B&B was great. Room was really spacious and stylishly furnished. Everything spotless. I can't comment on the full english breafast as I did not order it due to not really being a breakfast person, but I enjoyed the pancakes with bacon. Close to the pubs and places to eat in Dolgellau. Host were lovely.Would highly recommend.
Excellent hosts with a really interesting and characterful B&B full of items from their extensive travels. Great location in a quiet area but still very near the centre of Delgellau and all facilities. Lovely views of the surrounding area. Hosts were very accommodating to an early rise, and breakfast was excellent.
Clean and comfortable accommodation. and helpful, friendly staff. The hotel did not provide dinner, but restaurants are readily available in Dolgellau and take-aways are allowed in the room. Breakfast is delivered to the room and was wonderful. A very enjoyable stay, thank you.
Great base for exploring North Wales. House was extremely well furnished with everything you could wish for, spotlessly clean and very thoughtful welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk sugar and cake on arrival. One of the best places we have holidayed in.
The hotel is lovely, clearly the best in Dolgellau, the staff are very friendly and the room was very nice, especially as we are travelling with a dog we normally get the worst room in the hotel, was pleasantly surprised this hotel doesn’t do that.
Location was in the center of the little town. We had a beautiful room with an exquisite view (and a lovely bathroom) facing the town square. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were very courteous and helpful. We loved everything about this hotel.
Perfect location right in the middle of town. Dolgellau is beautiful any direction you’re looking! We slept perfectly and the breakfast was excellent. Our hosts were so wonderful to chat with and the level of hospitality was top notch!
Amazing apartment in a beautiful location with access to multiple local trails and pretty central to anywhere in North Wales.
Great communication with the landlords with all eventuality covered.
Thank you
Just outside Dolgellau, less thanm10 mins in car. We had 3 rooms including a triple. Good little kitchen and lounge area in the kitchen. Would be great for a longer stay. Very comfortable and clean.
A lucky find. Central location. Perfect for exploring Dolgellau. Fantastic host, so knowledge about the area. Provided storage for our bikes. Perfect for travelling on cycle route 8.
