The room was fantastic with a small terrace, facilities in the room and wider hotel were excellent. Staff were, helpful, attentive but never intrusive - breakfast was excellent. The location and views speak for themselves, a real bucket list place.

    It was just beautiful.

It was just beautiful. I was thoroughly pampered in the spar for my birthday. And even though I had to have the equipment explained to me it was no bother. The restaurant manager gave us a glass of champagne on the house for my birthday. Which was a real nice touch. He even comped our rose prossecco as we got engaged on our room terrace at Sun rise. I can't wait to visit again. Maybe even look at holding my wedding here

The views, he peace, nothing but birds singling, the food was delicious although portions were only fine dining size. Just love this place, far from the madding crowd at a gentle pace, a beautiful bolt hole to recharge the life batteries.

This is an isolated area with some lovely views and ideal for walkers. They even has some toilets that were open to the public that were kept in excellent order, which was pleasanly suprising considering the location. I would take some food and coffee with you as there is very little in the way of places to eat or drink. Do take a camera for the views. Don't visit if single track roads are not your thing.

    Llanwddyn is a small village.

Llanwddyn is a small village. Nice and quiet place in the middle of the mountain if you like fishing, hiking and simple stay in the beautiful nature place. Isn’t really for families with small kids. We ate in Vyrnwy Hotel where we stayed and used our car or simple walk around the area.

    Beautiful views from the hotel.

Beautiful views from the hotel. We had a lake view from our room and also view was in the restaurant Hotel was not that clean and the bed was uncomfortable along with pillows. The duvet was a winter one and needed a summer duvet. The corridor between reception , bar and restaurant smelt of urine coming from the toilets. The stairway going up to the 1st floor needed a good hoover and banisters needed dusting . Our skirting boards in room 6 were dusty and needed a damp cloth to clean them . The spa facilities were so so! We had to lay on throws or towels that people had used before which we avoided due to covid ! The place needed a refurbishment and looked tired including the balcony! Some shrubs to the side of the building would have been a good idea maybe? However on a positive note the staff were friendly and the food in the hotel restaurant was delicious! The road around the lake was flat and of 12miles and we were able to hire bikes if we wanted to cycle. There were plenty of walks in the countryside with clear signage . There was a possibility of hiring a boat to go out to the lake to fish or paddle boards and kayaking. 2 nights is ample at this hotel . I had a facial in the spa which was nice and relaxing and my partner had a full body massage which was great!
