Our house is about 18 years old, and is warm, light and spacious, with a large open plan first floor to take advantage of the marina views. 1 bedroom on the ground floor can be arranged with 2 single beds or a superking-size double bed. Guests have use of a washing machine and tumble dryer. There's also a shower room, and access to the secure garage, and the private patio. On the second floor, there are 3 further bedrooms and a bathroom. The largest of these bedrooms can be arranged with 2 single beds or a superking-size double bed. The second has single bunkbeds, ideal for children. The third has a kingsize double bed. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and the lounge has ample comfy seating, a large smart TV and bluetooth speaker. We hope you'll find it a home from home and a lovely base for your holiday.
I live in north Wales with my partner, Glyn, and two boys. Together we run Gradient Adventure, an outdoor pursuits business, and love to welcome visitors to our house on the marina. Our co-host Amy manages the property and will be your main point of contact, but feel free to be in touch with any queries.
The property sits by a former slate dock in the village of Y Felinheli, where slates from the sprawling Dinorwig quarry were once transferred from railway wagons to ships. A stunning place to relax and unwind, with all the attractions of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and Anglesey on the doorstep. The village of Y Felinheli is a few minutes drive from the A55 and sits between the University city of Bangor and the historic castle town of Caernarfon. Now the marina is a peaceful site for residents, visitors and boat owners to enjoy the area. There's a cafe, restaurant and hair and beauty salon on the marina, with the local pub Y Garddfon, a few minutes walk away. The village also has a handy shop and post office, and great takeaway restaurants. You can join the coastal path for a local walk, or sustrans routes for cycling. Mountains and beaches are short drives away. A car is recommended, although it is possible to take the train to Bangor and use local buses or taxis. There is off street parking for 2 cars directly in front of the house.
