Gwynfryn, hotel in Conwy

Gwynfryn offers accommodation in a converted chapel in Conwy. The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen Smart TV and a refrigerator. You will find tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Breakfast was nice, and well-presented, and the chapel is beautifully decorated and converted into a Restaurant. All around the stay was superb, and the rooms were spotless and tidy. Maybe a bit of noise coming from the loose roof in an abandoned location at the back, with windy conditions as we had

Conwy is a lovely town with plenty of history and impressive local scenery. Obviously it can be congested and has narrow streets and limited parking but that is what you would expect. Nice meal at the Castle Hotel.

Conwy is a great place to stay.

Conwy is a great place to stay. It is situated just minutes from both beautiful beaches and fantastic mountains. There is, of course, the castle to visit, but there are also plenty of shops and places to eat and drink, and other places of interest. I have come here since 2017 for the Conwy half marathon, which should be on the bucket list of every runner!

A sunny day helps to walk around the castle and across the old suspension bridge. Wonderful lunch in the Erskine pub and dinner in the Castle Hotel. Although we had a car, for our evening out you must book ahead and there are no taxis on a Saturday night unless you book an hour in advance!

The castle is the main attraction and is one of the finest in Wales. It affords a good view of the famous Telford suspension bridge and the town walls, on which one can walk. The "smallest house" is interesting and the quay and estuary are very scenic. We did not have time to take a boat trip, which is available. Conwy is an historic and very charming town, with plenty of parking. Its proximity to the renowned Bodnant Gardens and to LLandudno make it a very good centre for a short break.

Absolutely fantastic, quirky hotel. We stayed in room number 4 where the views from the room over looked the castle. The stairs to the room are a little steep and narrow, something to consider if you have mobility issues. Lovely breakfast brought to your room. Would highly recommend staying here. 10/10
