Newly listed and newly refurbished in September 2022. Central location with parking in pretty rural former market town, Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire. An excellent selection of independent shops, cafes, pubs, supermarkets and a Michelin listed restaurant are within an easy walk of the house. Named in The Times list of Best Places to Live in the UK, Shipston on Stour makes an ideal Cotswolds touring base with Stratford upon Avon and Warwick also within 15-25 minutes drive. Luxuriously furnished, Parnell House comfortably accommodates 8 people with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a cosy living room with Smart TV and SONOS music speaker, spacious dining room and well equipped modern kitchen. Outside the property has a a pretty enclosed courtyard for al fresco dining. Guests also have use of a washing machine during their stay.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to Parnell House. Our aim is to provide everything ready for a wonderful break without us disturbing your stay, however we live nearby and are available to help if required. If you would like any information about the local area, and places to visit, we would be happy to help.
Situated on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, Shipston-on-Stour is a riverside town in south Warwickshire, close to the boundaries with Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire. Shipston is a charming historic and thriving town which has become increasingly popular with tourists due to its wonderful mixture of shops, pubs and restaurants. As a focal point for the surrounding rural area, it has more than 50 small independent shops and has become something of a shopping haven when many small towns have been virtually taken over by national chain stores. Popular annual events include the Shipston Proms two-week live music fair and a Victorian Christmas event. Parnell House is located centrally within Shipston so visiting the many shops, pubs and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. For exploring further afield a car is recommended, for which there is a dedicated parking space at the property with plenty of further free parking nearby. Alternatively, there are local bus and taxi services, and the closest train station is Moreton-in-Marsh which has direct service to and from London.
