The manager who was on duty in the bar and breakfast area next day was very professional, helpful and friendly to guests and staff. It makes such a difference to the atmosphere and smooth running in a place when a manager is like her.
Loved the place in general too.

This hotel was classy without being stuffy! The breakfast was amazing and the bar lovely with a roaring fire. The location was ideal with a handy carpark. It was also great to look at and we stayed in the Tudor part of the hotel.

Absolutely stunning, the most relaxing two night stay ever. We left feeling very de-stressed. The spa was delightful and the staff couldn’t have done enough for you! They were all so friendly. The food was SO good and the cocktails were excellent too. Very clean, super comfortable and would love to go back! Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough for a relaxing few nights away. It’s also only a 15 minute drive from Stratford upon Avon which is lovely for walks/ nice shops!
Top tip would be to book any spa treatments in advance as unfortunately they were fully booked when we were there!

Lovely friendly place, beautiful buildings and Riverside and pretty clean inc public toilets! Apart from the obvious Shakespeare related places and great RSC, lots of great places to eat and live music in certainly 2 pubs. Edward Moon lovely independent restaurant with the sort of customer service others could learn from! Would also recommend the Pick Thai restaurant. The Compact town easy to get around on foot.

The river taxi from our lodge was a bonus and took us...
The river taxi from our lodge was a bonus and took us straight into the centre. There is plenty to do but you will need deep pockets as the Shakespearean attractions are pricey. There’s plenty of eating places to suit all budgets. We ate at the Boathouse for my husbands birthday treat, the staff and food were lovely. Put your best walking shoes on as the main town is pretty large with lots to see or take the hop on/ hop off bus for a broader tour of the area with audio. A trip on the river is a must for those that want a more relaxing experience.
Unfortunately my party did not want to experience a play but I will return again with like minded family members and definitely book.

We found the RSC performance at the Theatre outstanding (Othello) and the hotel we stayed at very comfortable and convenient. Restaurants, coffee houses and of course the pubs (particularly the Dirty Duck/Black Swan) were all friendly and a great standard. We were blessed with lovely weather so the river bank and surrounding parks and grounds were lovely to stroll through.
If you are looking for a peaceful, cultural and relaxed weekend then I would highly recommend Stratford-Upon-Avon

We wanted to visit both Warwick and Stratford Upon Avon and the hotel is perfectly located in between the two. No more than 15 minutes to either town. The location was fantastic and the staff were friendly. The grounds were very pretty and bar and restaurant were available if required, although we only had our lunch there the first day.
Ideal location for exploring all the beautiful things Stratford upon Avon offers. We took our little dog and the very pleasant hotel reception staff gave him a doggy welcome pack which was very thoughtful. The staff were so helpful. Very nice breakfast and staff.
Lovely hotel in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. We were here for an event at the literary festival. Room was ideal - perfect temperature, well furnished - stylish decor with nice touches such as complimentary drinks and snacks.
Location was great! Closer to nearby motorway.
Close to Stratford upon Avon town centre. Close to lovely canal walks for the dog in my spare time. Cheap price for family of 3 plus dog
