The property was beautiful, very well maintained, and the rooms tastefully decorated. Alyssa has excellent customer service skills and made sure we had everything we needed, in addition to letting us know about the amenities upon check in. (IE: access to kayaks and paddle boards) Having a separate pool area for adults only was a huge plus!

The host thought of everything to make us feel welcome and cozy. We used the free kayaks to explore near by mangroves and went to Sombrero Beach right down the road multiple times. Huge storms every night, but we felt totally safe and secure in the houseboat. Some of the best sleep we’ve had away from home!

Being right on the water affording excellent views on a daily basis. Showers and bathrooms 50 feet away meant we didn't have to use the boat/rv style amenities on the boat. All cooking utensils were available and used during our stay. Stand up paddleboards, kayaks, BBQ, and swimming pool were excellent. Staying in the Middle Keys in Marathon makes it easy to drive to the Lower Keys (Key West) or Upper Keys (Key Largo) for touring, snorkeling, or SCUBA diving.

Super bad service

Marathon is great, close to a lot of the beaches and snorkelling. Bahia Honda State Park is worth visiting and we did the Snorkelling trip to Looe Key from there. Sombrero beach is lovely too and there are a lot of great restaurants around the Marathon area.

In our experience, there's not a lot to do in Marathon.
In our experience, there's not a lot to do in Marathon. There's some snorkel, SCUBA, and fishing charters, but that's about it. Sombrero Beach looks great for younger families. There's more recreational activities out of Key Largo and Key West, but Marathon is central for access to both, plus Islamorada and Big Pine. There's plenty of areas to eat, but we found that buying ahi tuna steaks at $10/lb was a steal at the grocery store. As with all driving in the Keys, respect the speed as there are plenty of deputies and troopers.

Marathon is a great stop before going to key west or if you want to fish or do activities. KW isn't a great destination for that. Marathon is much quieter but also closes early.
I'd much rather stay in Marathon for a longer part and do an overnight in KW.

Sunset at Sunset Grille, Brunch at The Wooden Spoon, watch planes at the Marathon Airport, enjoy Sombrero beach, and kayak the waters near your resort. Easy trips to the other keys like Islamorada, Bahia Honda, Big Pine, No Name, and Key West

Went to Bahia Honda State Park - beaches were ok.
Went to Bahia Honda State Park - beaches were ok. They offer paddle boarding and kayak rental there. went on several trails, which were nice. Went on the old 7 mile bridge (cloudy day), but didn't get to see sunrise. Drove out to see mini deers and got to see a glimpse of one (it was not near sunset or sunrise, which is the time they recommend you go to see them).
Room very large and clean. Bathroom is also very comfortable.
We only stayed one night so we could not evaluate other services but overall the accommodation is very nice.
The wharf behind the hotel is amazing, from there you can watch a breathtaking sunset. It's a very pity that during our stay the bar on the beach was closed, I think that it would be a very plus for overall experience.
We had a suite that had a kitchenette, sofa and table/chairs. The beach was steps away. Cabana chairs were set up in the morning so we could watch the sunrise. Each chair on the beach and in pool area had a QR code to order drinks delivered. The bar/restaurant was excellent- fun live music. We had a party of 6 and were sat around a fire pit on comfy couches.
The owners were really nice, the property is beautiful with access to the water e.g. with boat or kayak, pool to take a dip after a hot day, laundry options, the room was really spacious and had everything we needed, outdoor seating for every room, great location in marathon to explore the keys - we loved everything here! Hope we’ll be back there someday :)
The best part is the on the water location. There is a small jetty next to the marina with beach chairs and a small "beach" to take a dip, snorkel, or fish. Plenty of seafood dining along Route 1 in Marathon. The location is handy to day trip to Bahia Honda state park, Key West, or Sombrero Beach in Marathon. The room was very clean.
The deck in the back was nice We saw manatees, iguanas, pelicans, and the chickens were a unique addition. There were two beach chairs and a picnic table. A neighbor couple invited us to get into a boat and we cruised out of the canal behind the hotel past mangroves and out into the open ocean then back. Coffee was good.
Excellent location for a trip to the keys. Driving to key west takes approx. 1 hour, other attractions are in the immediate vicinity. Probably the cleanest rooms I have ever seen in the US, plus very spacious. Overall a great hotel and we will definitely consider to stay here again when coming to the keys.
Excellent outdoor area ~ pool, bar, sunbeds. The sea view is amazing. Complimentary bike hire so make sure you cycle to the old disused 7 mile bridge. The room was very spacious and modern. Laundry facilities were useful for us. The nicest hotel on The Keys that we have stayed at.
The boutique size hotel was staffed by the friendliest and most helpful people, especially Morgan, the concierge. The property was large enough that you never felt like you were crowded by others. The hotel is located so that you can easily enjoy the Keys to the east and west.
The hotel is simply incredible, and the landscapes surrounding it are magnificent.
The staff are lovely and very professional, it really is a magical place!
The cocktails are excellent, as is the breakfast - there's something for everyone.
2 bedroom apartment huge, lots of space and lovely kitchen area overlooking the dock, pool and sea. Nice pool area and free kayak use. Not far to porky’s or Florida keys steak and lobster for great food and watch sunset at 7 mile bridge
The resort has its own marina, location is in the centre of Marathon. The room we stayed in was refurbished and clean with a kitchenette. Price is relatively affordable compared to other accommodations in the Keys.
We loved the convenience of the hotel to the restaurant next door and across the street. Very happy with everything The Fairfield offered. We found our spot in The Keys. Would definitely stay here next trip.
The hotel is a great location to explore the keys. It has a pickleball court, a pool, bikes and Kajaks, which we loved.
From the second floor you can see the water on both sides of the Key, marvelous
The staff was friendly the room was clean the shower was great the bathroom fixtures were new and unlike most other high priced Ripoff hotels in The Keys the price was reasonable
Location was wonderful! Quiet and perfect for sunset viewing. The room was clean and comfortable. Perfect for the value especially compared to other Keys hotels.
