Need a public bathroom at the end of both sides to help the public out. Beware street floods bad and standing water in many areas. Shop at Shorty's and see Sloppy Joes for at least one drink but go find the Green Parrot!

Duval St. is a main street in Key West, however one Street over, which runs parallel to Deval is Whitehead St. The famous Hemming way house, a must see, is on Whitehead St. Which runs from the most Southern point in the US to the far end of Key West. At that end you will find the Fisher museum, another must see and the aquarium, glass bottom boat, jet ski rentals, plus many other attractions.

    Where the action is.

Where the action is. Great to just walk around or rent a bicycle/tricycle. They are pretty much given the right of way on the old town roads. Visit the Key Lime Store and eat some Key Lime pie. Go to the oldest Margaritaville and have one on the rocks. They make it special, and was the best we've had.

If you don’t like loud music and the smell of pee and puke, then this is not the place for you. Great music and great restaurants. Lots of people watching going on too. It’s like a tiny Bourbon St. Remember that it’s open until 4 am so pick your hotel wisely.

    Sleazy!

Sleazy! Thought shops would be quaint and 'boutique' but just tourist tat and lots of sleaze. Apparently turns into a big party in the evening. Probably best for young open minded people.... not really for families.

Walk on the shaded side of the street.

Walk on the shaded side of the street. The heat sweeps down the street like an oven. Many shops and many bars to visit. Bring your own water because it gets pricy. It is a fun day to walk around. Start by the Southernmost Point and go clear to the docks! We saw a shark and a manatee right off Duval Street dock area before an early morning excursion.

Douglas House is a really charming guesthouse in Key West perfectly located right next to Duval street. Everything you are looking for in Key West is within walking distance. The little garden is perfect, and we had a big balcony where we enjoyed our mornings and evenings. The apartments are in different sizes and they offer free parking.

The location of this hotel is prime. Walking distance to beach/bouy/duval street. The rooms were old Florida style which I personally loved. Vintage fixtures, windows etc. the beds were clean and comfy and the shower was warm with great pressure. It was too cold for us to swim but they have a great pool.

The room was spacious, clean and met our needs. I liked the little outside (under cover) seating with wicker chairs. There were plenty of outlets for electronics, although only 1 of the two outlets per unit worked. Good water pressure and hot water in the shower. The location of the hotel is wonderful - 2 short blocks from Duval street, the hop-on-hop-off trolley and the free "loop" bus, yet away from the crowds and noise.

The location of the hotel is great, on the Eaton road, next to Duval Street, and close to the William St., waking distance to multiple sightseeing. The hotel offers the $15 / night parking option which is not far away, no need to use the car when staying in the hotel. The room is clean, cozy. The breakfast is wonderful, fresh, warm, and smell good with the bacon and coffee.

Excellent location and very helpful staff. The staff at breakfast was extremely hard-working and efficient. We loved the historic feel of the hotel; the decor and ambiance (very tranquil) and nevertheless only a block a way from Duval street. Excellent breakfast and we loved the in-room as well as at the bar free coffee, (ice) tea and cookies.

The hotel is 15 minutes walk from the beach, Duval street or the most Southern point of continental US, so pretty well located, and quiet area at the same time, no parking fees as we parked at the street. The little pool is quiet nice for a refreshing bath at the end of the hat day, and we even got breakfast included, nothing expectacular, but as everything is so expensive in Florida, it was a nice to have, and you can always just take a banana and a yogurt for the healthier option.
