Easy check in good communication with the host everything you need for a comfortable short stay good location close to Killarney and also for exploring further afield Nice outdoor space walking distance to public/restaurant well stocked Centra just across the road Would recommend
The Grand Hotel is in the heart of Tralee, just 2 minutes’ walk from Siamsa Theatre. It offers a fine restaurant, limited free public parking, free Wi-Fi and rooms with satellite TVs.
The privately run and owned Heights Hotel Killarney overlooks the Flesk Valley and Torc and Mangerton mountains and is 1 mile from Killarney Train Station.

The facilities were excellent. The Showe was awesome and the bedding was very comfortable. The restaraunt was excellent and i highly recommend the Seafood Chowder
This charming country house hotel is in the famed Aghadoe area, just a 10-minute drive from Killarney town centre.

Nice location, towards the edge of the cluster of hotels around Killarney, and in easy reach of open country. The view from the hotel dining room is great, the view if you walk a few minutes up the hill is even better.
Staff were friendly and attentive, room was good, and dinner in the “Rozzers” restaurant was fantastic (although worth calling ahead if you hope to eat there on your first night).

Castleisland is a lovely small town surrounded by scenic farmland. It is not a typical tourist destination. There are good roads to the town. It's pretty sleepy after 6pm. Tralee is about 15 minutes away and Killarney is less than a half hour away if you want restaurants and shopping. And there are several tourist options that are close by such as the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry, Blarney Castle and KIllarney National Park.

Sad, sad place 20 min outside of Killarney.
Sad, sad place 20 min outside of Killarney. There is nothing to see, eat or do. A few cute pubs, as often many restaurants close at 5 / 5:30 pm, most stores as well. Don’t go to the cave, it’s a rip off, the whole place is depressing.

We didn't see much as we arrived about 8pm and left early. We did have a short walk , but it wasn't enough to take a good look around. There were alot of shops and the hotel was on the main street

I think the town is struggling. Few good pubs.
I think the town is struggling. Few good pubs. Couple of boutiques and shoe shops. Food in the River Island Hotel is very good. There is no other place to eat as far I could see after 6pm in the town. There are restaurants open during the day.

What we liked most about the hotel was the minute you arrived until the time we left all the staff were so welcoming from the staff who checked you in the servers in the restaurant and the staff who cleaned the rooms everyone was so helpful and the room we stayed in was lovely and the breakfast and dinner was fantastic I would highly recommend the river island hotel and I will be definitely staying there again
This was a perfect home from home stay, in a great location for touring Kerry and surrounding counties. The house itself was well maintained, clean and comfortable. I would recommend this for holiday home for families, there was plenty of room, cooking facilities, and we were just a short walk from Castleisland town. Sheila and Owen were great to deal with and on arrival there was home baked goodies which was a lovely touch.
The property has B&B rooms that are good hotel standard, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast menu is very comprehensive and the food is delicious. The host and his family are welcoming, genuine people, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The property is set in a beautiful garden, and perfectly located for touring Kerry and surrounding counties.
