The River Island Hotel is a hotel which is not compromised by design or over styled, but a place where the overall effect is relaxed yet contemporary.

Me and my motor buddy booked this hotel after a long day of driving. The manager let us put the motorcycles inside, so they didn’t have to be parked around the corner. The room was excellent. Everything worked accordingly and the staff was very friendly we decided to have diner in the restaurant too. Best choice ever, cause the meals were outstanding and the prices normal. Breakfast was also very good and friendly staff. Furthermore the hotel has a nice and fashioned, but well maintained interior. WiFi works great.
I highly recommend this hotel and its restaurant.

Cloghan Lodge is a true embodiment of elegance and beauty, showcasing a delightful garden that complements its charming character. The spacious rooms are adorned with comfortable beds and plush pillows, ensuring a restful stay. Guests can enjoy the convenience of coffee and tea-making facilities in the guest lounge, available around the clock for their enjoyment.
The breakfast was a standout feature for us, not only for its wholesome and healthy offerings but also for its halal options, catering to diverse dietary preferences.
However, what elevated our stay to something truly special was the presence of Cunnie, our exceptional host. His warmth and thoughtfulness went above and beyond, leaving us with the feeling of being cherished guests rather than mere visitors. Cunnie's hospitality added a personalized and memorable dimension to our stay.

The pod was lovely. It should be better if they can provide something to clean up the floor (brush and scoop) specially when you’re staying long. We stayed 3 days and the floor was not clean the whole time we stayed.
The Grand Hotel is in the heart of Tralee, just 2 minutes’ walk from Siamsa Theatre. It offers a fine restaurant, limited free public parking, free Wi-Fi and rooms with satellite TVs.

I think the town is struggling. Few good pubs. Couple of boutiques and shoe shops. Food in the River Island Hotel is very good. There is no other place to eat as far I could see after 6pm in the town. There are restaurants open during the day.

Castleisland is a great place to stay whether just passing through or touring Co Kerry. It is very close to Killarney, Tralee etc but much better value for money with regard to accommodation. There is a good atmosphere in the local bars and restaurant, without the crowds of the larger towns.

Great value for money, not as touristy as Killarney nor as busy as Tralee. Beautiful farmland and interesting history if interested. Truly a market town with great shops, free parking, traditional Irish restaurants. People are friendly and not trying to trap tourists. This is a real example of an agricultural, sporting and in some quarters, music loving town.

The town has great food options during the day with several coffee shops/ restaurants, but most close at 6 pm. The only options I found after this was a Chinese restaurant or the River Island Hotel. Other than that it’s takeaway. Castleisland is a great central base for seeing Co Kerry.
I loved this place. All the comforts of home. The owners Sheila and Owen had gone through the the extra trouble of providing snacks and treats and also came by for a visit to meet us. This was by far my favorite accommodations on our Great Britain / Ireland vacation. A very short walk to town. Pats restaurant is about 100 yards away. Great food at a fair price and recommended by the owners and myself. Thanks again for everything. Castleisland is also the perfect proximity to all the surrounding attractions of Kerry.
This was a perfect home from home stay, in a great location for touring Kerry and surrounding counties. The house itself was well maintained, clean and comfortable. I would recommend this for holiday home for families, there was plenty of room, cooking facilities, and we were just a short walk from Castleisland town. Sheila and Owen were great to deal with and on arrival there was home baked goodies which was a lovely touch.
The property has B&B rooms that are good hotel standard, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast menu is very comprehensive and the food is delicious. The host and his family are welcoming, genuine people, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The property is set in a beautiful garden, and perfectly located for touring Kerry and surrounding counties.
The staff were very friendly. The hotel was older but had a nice classy feel to it with all the wood accents and old world charm. Room was nice and beds were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of selections. Parking was a short block or so away but no real problem.
Lovely cottage, very spacious and everything you need is there. Fuel for the open fire, all kitchen utensils etc. Host Mary very easy to deal with and had no problem with check in and out. Nice and relaxing. Castleisland highly recommended, friendliest people in Ireland there!
Beyond our expectations Barrett Family meet us at home Delia, John, Connie and family truly made us feel like part of their family. Fabulous breakfast very comfortable accommodations. Anything you would need for a trip to Castleisland
The Cloghan Lodge run by the Barrett family was the best place for us during our stay in Kerry. It is absolutely beautiful and kept spotless. It was also very close to our family in Castleisland. We plan to visit again!!
Location was perfect for us. 15 min drive to Tralee and Castleisland had everything we need for the week. House was beautiful and well kept. The hosts were very well organised and we had everything we needed.
It was a stunning Bed & Breakfast operated by very friendly people. The room and breakfast were both outstanding. We wish we could have stayed there longer, but we were only in Castleisland for one evening.
nice central hotel, perfect for what we needed. a little dated in decor. breakfast was lovely apart from the rashers are the usual rubbery ones most hotels have.
