there have nice massage places which is pretty affordable.
There lots of local food options and places to visit & also quite a few places with western food as well which are pretty nice to explore.
Cafes has been poping quite a bit in batam which are also a nice place to visit if you are looking for a good cup of coffee.
other than that they have very good seafood with very affordable price which are nice and tasty

Obviously because of the currency differences, taxi and meals were extremely better. but because of the cost of the ferry ride to and from Batam, it all comes to the same. Unless you're staying for 3 nights or more it wouldn't be worth it. Then again, there's really nothing much to see or do in Batam. Shopping isn't all that great.

Wonderful place for a short getaway. Quite a number of places to go to for massages. Value for money. Only real catch is private transportation - certain ride-hailing mobile app services might run into rivalries with local transportation practices.

Good affordable destination.
Good affordable destination. Difficult to get things due to relatively low English speaking ability of workers in tourism industry including guide drivers hotel staff and staff at shopping malls. This to me an area to be improved to make Batam a more friendly tourist destination.
Check in was easy, host responded quickly whenever I had queries.
Infinity pool facing the sea is very pretty. Gym has squat rack and multi-purpose machine.
Apartment was relatively clean, shower water was hot and had strong pressure. TV had no channels but had access to YouTube. Air-con worked well for all rooms (including living room).
Location is great - it's walking distance to ferry terminal and mega mall shopping centre; there was a pasar malam right across Harris hotel (which was in front of the apartment) when we stayed.
The cleanliness of the apartment, the location is just beside batam center and facing the sea, so you can expect strong wind which is so relaxing.. staff yuni was very friendly and nice, answered all questions promptly.. we felt very welcome.. the room was spacious.. there is a swimming pool, gym and restaurant available.. if you will like to go for breakfast, you can just go to Harris Hotel just behind the apartment complex which is so convenient a 2 minute walk..
Late for Break first while location was very decent, had a positive vibe and pleasant experience to one of the hotel staff which was concern and worried about our stay and preferences that was not met and decided to offer a helping hand to go beyond her boundaries. I would like to express an honorable humble gratitude to her for showing care and concern to us.

Relatively new hotel, rooms are clean. Designated parking area for inhouse guest is a blessing. Security round the clock to oversee your rented car parked there. They have an in house Spa which opens 24hrs apparently. No frills value for money hotel.
Food court, massage shop, supermarket and even a sit-down durian shop just beside the hotel.
Hotel is exclusive with quiet surroundings. They have a few restaurants at the hotel wing and could provide room service. There is also a massage spa in the same wing. There is a kids room within the apartment premises with toys and tv for the kids to play in their free time. Staffs are cheerful and helpful. Overall nice stay.
Good security, location is very near to Batam center for ferry departure and also quite nearby to Grand Mall Batam for food and grocery. The staff at One Residence are very friendly, seem to be taking their tasks seriously, and accommodating. Wifi connection and entertainment options available were good.
I stayed in room 619, the room is quite spacious at that price.

Clean and very nearby to Batam Ferry Terminal. Hotel is also near Grand Batam Mall. Requested for connecting room and we got it. Breakfast was great and was on top level (11th Floor). You can either choose to sit indoor or outdoor.
Thank you to staff Mr Ronny who fetch us from batam center ferry terminal to hotel and offered to send us to Nagoya mall after we done the check-in. Friendly reception staff. Room is clean and there's extra pillow in the wardrobe.
