there have nice massage places which is pretty affordable.
There lots of local food options and places to visit & also quite a few places with western food as well which are pretty nice to explore.
Cafes has been poping quite a bit in batam which are also a nice place to visit if you are looking for a good cup of coffee.
other than that they have very good seafood with very affordable price which are nice and tasty

Obviously because of the currency differences, taxi and meals were extremely better. but because of the cost of the ferry ride to and from Batam, it all comes to the same. Unless you're staying for 3 nights or more it wouldn't be worth it. Then again, there's really nothing much to see or do in Batam. Shopping isn't all that great.

Wonderful place for a short getaway. Quite a number of places to go to for massages. Value for money. Only real catch is private transportation - certain ride-hailing mobile app services might run into rivalries with local transportation practices.

Good affordable destination. Difficult to get things due to relatively low English speaking ability of workers in tourism industry including guide drivers hotel staff and staff at shopping malls. This to me an area to be improved to make Batam a more friendly tourist destination.
First of all, location wise is great. It's easy to get grab bookings to travel around. Breakfast was amazing, they have a variety of choices ranging from indonesian food, western, etc. You get an amazing view too while dining in for breakfast. Room was nice, it's a relatively new hotel so it is clean. Toilet comes with bidet which is good! It comes with a smart TV so you can use youtube, netflix or even watch their local channels too. Staff there is very accommodating to my questions/request. Lovely stay. Would definitely come back
The cleanliness of the apartment, the location is just beside batam center and facing the sea, so you can expect strong wind which is so relaxing.. staff yuni was very friendly and nice, answered all questions promptly.. we felt very welcome.. the room was spacious.. there is a swimming pool, gym and restaurant available.. if you will like to go for breakfast, you can just go to Harris Hotel just behind the apartment complex which is so convenient a 2 minute walk..
The facilities is good, although is old but well maintained. Anyway the hotel with too little people around, although everything looks good, but it felt too spacious and cold. Suggest could do more marketing to attract more crowd, as the hotel is good but need more tenants so it could looks more comfortable!
Good security, location is very near to Batam center for ferry departure and also quite nearby to Grand Mall Batam for food and grocery. The staff at One Residence are very friendly, seem to be taking their tasks seriously, and accommodating. Wifi connection and entertainment options available were good.
The breakfast was fantastic! After the first night, the hotel upgraded our room to a spacious room with a nice view. I appreciated that the AC remained turned on when we were out of the room. It was great to enjoy a 4 star hotel at a 3 star hotel price. Hopefully we can return someday.
The hotel staff was really outstanding. Very professional in what they are doing. Me & wife stayed in the Executive King Suite and the room was clean, big n bed is really comfortable. Had a great massage at Eska as well. Hotel is recommended for all.
I did not have my breakfast there. The place is located near the town center and closed to Ferry Terminal. I find it convenient unfortunately you would require grab cycle or car to come out and roam around the city.
for the price point, I was expecting to get a budget hotel but no! it was a really decent and good hotel with excellent breakfast! this is definitely where I’ll stay should I return to Batam again!
The location was good and can be easily seen from the main road. Hotel is new and clean with humble staffs and most important breakfast is included in the booking with no extra charges.
